A Thoughtful Gift: A Personalized Portrait Photo.

Greetings dear friends of this amazing community! How are you all? I wish for all of you a good health and high spirits as you guys are enjoying your day to the fullest. Today, I'm excited to share with you yet another glimpse of my neighbor's birthday party. I hope you'll take a moment to read, enjoy, and perhaps find it meaningful enough to share your thoughts and upvote.

Yesterday, 3rd February, 2025 was a special day for my neighbor, and I wanted to make it even more memorable. It was her birthday, and I decided to create a unique and personalized gift that would show my appreciation for her kindness and generosity.

Mrs. Glory Emmanuel Odokwo, popularly called Lolo is a very beautiful, calm, generous and friendly woman who takes everybody as her brother/sister. Her smiles and playful lifestyle attracts everyone to her in our compound. As yesterday was her birthday, we celebrated with her in a grand style.

I designed, printed, framed, and presented a beautiful portrait photo of her, which she received with joy and gratitude at her birthday party.

I started by telling my neighbor to send her favourite birthday studio photos for me in the morning when I wanted to leave for work. She forwarded to me through whatsApp. Maybe she thought I wanted to post them on my Facebook handle to wish her a usual happy Birthday.

After she sent the above 3 pictures to me, I chosed the one that captured her bright smile and warm personality. I then used Photoshop editing software to crop, enhance the image, adjusting the brightness, contrast, and saturation to make it look more vibrant and professional.

Next, I used CorelDRAW X7 software to create the beautiful and charming design, I played with sea green and blue colours to combine with the colour of her outfit, just to give the photo a festive feel. I also included a heartfelt message, "Happy Birthday". "On this special day, we wish you and your family Abundance, Happiness, and Good Health!" to make the gift even more special.

Once I was happy with the design, I printed the photo on high-quality paper using a professional printer. I used high quality Laser Crystal Cold Lamination Holographic Film to laminate the photo for more beautification. I chosed a frame that complemented the colours and style of the photo, a beautiful black/gold frame with a subtle wood grain fiber texture.

I carefully placed the photo in the frame, making sure it was centered and secure. The finished product looked stunning, and I couldn't wait to present it to my neighbor.

All the neighbours, her friends and invited guests were all on ground. Everyone danced to the tune of soft birthday music interlude, we all drank and enjoyed with the celebrant. Lolo was so excited to see people celebrated with her on her special day. At the spell of capital J-E-S-U-S, she cut her birthday cake with a happy and smiling face, the sound of love and unity was in the air.

At the birthday party, I waited for the perfect moment to present the gift. When my neighbour blew out the candles on her cake, I stepped forward and handed her the framed photo. Her eyes widened with surprise and delight as she took in the thoughtful gift.

She shouted loud in a shocking and surprised manner and danced round the compound with the gift, thanking me for the beautiful photo and for making her birthday so special. It was a moment I'll always treasure, and I'm so glad I could make my neighbour's birthday a little brighter.

The portrait photo gift was a huge success, and I'm already thinking about what I can create for her next special occasion.
