Have you noticed that our grand parents and some of our parents who got married from the early 90's downward hardly filed divorces? Infact they didn't even know what that means. But look at our present time, I'm tempted to say in our era, there are more divorces than there are marriages.

Remember I said that your walk with God is hinged on 2 things, the fear of God first then the Love for God.

Most of us know already that Jesus Christ came to show us a pattern to follow. He came as a lamb to the slaughter house. He didn't come as one who loved the Father, but as one who Reverenced the Father. Eventhough He was one with the Father, He humbled himself to be as men

Phil.2.6 Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained, (AMP)

Alright! Our parents marriages lasted way longer because the wives (bride) might not have loved the husbands (groom) but they had reverence for them. And on the premise of this reverence, their marriage blossomed.

I've been with some old women and most of them say they never loved their husbands but respected them🤔 and they're married for more than 30years and still standing. Eventhough they didn't love them, love grew on the reverence they had for their husbands

Am I saying you shouldn't love your spouse? Nope! What I'm saying is that before loving him, respect and honour Him.

Reverence sustains a relationship but love spices it up!

In our generation we are looking for love first before honour which is what leads to so much chaos in our marriages. Are you getting thee point? Indeed love is important but not primordial.

You know God always uses such little things to teach us about Himself but we tend to look at it to be too simple and basic to apply.

We are the bride of Christ! And as our parents of old, we are not joined with Him primarily because we love Him. He is the one who has the responsibility to love us as His bride, our responsibility is to reverence, honour and submit to Him. Yes love can get into the equation but it's a spice to makes it sweeter. It all begins with the fear of God. It is the fear of God that will give you wisdom on how to lavish your love on Him.

So this your I love Jesus without fearing Him is a whole fallacy. You're living a lie and this your I fear Jesus without loving Him is incomplete.

May the Lord give you understanding in Jesus name🙏🏿

You are perfectly right. In fact it will not be possible to love God without not fearing Him
