However, there appears to be a vital missing link which accounts for the urgent demand for change. Many still battle with getting reformed and moving forward. Many still find it difficult to implement the principles they get from conferences, motivational speakers, seminars etc. With the benefit of these facilities, many still drag themselves through the maze of life's challenges, lacking the intentionality with which achiever's face life.
We are washed with success principles and it gets easy to find a motivational speaker these days, but growth and change remain elusive. Many write books on how to own a business and even give principles to business men which will help them succeed but have never owned a business. Many pastors preach every day in the pulpit on how to live a life that glorifies God but yet many Christians still complain about their lives.
Many motivational speakers everywhere with good principles about making it in life but their lives are full of ups and downs, frustration and no certainty about
the future.
What a society we live in!
A society where change is so difficult to come.
- But why does change tarry?
- Why is it so difficult for human beings to change?
Change is becoming so difficult in our society today because we are unwilling to put in the necessary ingredients for change.
What are these ingredients?
Everyone in life wants to be successful, everyone in life wants to live a life of purpose and make a difference, but putting in what it takes to make this difference becomes so demanding. All those
who made it to the top were not born with silver spoons, they did not come from great palaces, but were mere men who
championed their status-quo and vowed for change. They went in for all that was necessary to propel them to the top, putting in all the necessary ingredients and at the end of the day, they all had a success story. The main ingredient here is:
INTENTIONALITY
Intentionality is the power of minds and mental states to be about, to represent, or to stand for things, properties and states of affairs (Stanford Encyclopedia).
If you were asked what the key to succeed in life is, what will you say? Others will say Education, but I will say there are
thousands of educational derelicts roaming the streets especially in Cameroon with nothing to show forth for.
Some will say money, but I will say being wealthy or money is not success. Even King Solomon in the Bible had all
this and at the end said, "All is vanity”. Others will say networking with influential people, recognition and talent. All these have shortcomings.
I borrow the statement of a great leader and leadership coach, John Maxwell. He said
Intentional living is the key to everything you want to accomplish in life. It's more important than where you were born, how much talent you have, or what kinds of connections you have. Intentional living empowers people to make the uphill climb to success and to significance.

Most people want their lives to count, they have all it takes, good principles on how they can make their lives count but being intentional in implementing those principles becomes so demanding and challenging. To be intentional demands that you become
- Delibrate
- Consistent
- Willful
Intentional living inspires you to make everyday count
Intentional living allows you to make changes one step at a time
