What Is Your Understanding Of a Successful Home?
A successful home to me is one that is built on Godly principles and precepts, a home that stays together despite the condition. A successful home is on that unity is their core parameters and would sacrifice anything to sustain the peace.
For a home to be successful, everyone works towards unifying and strengthening the bond that binds them together. Great leaders are mostly from a successful home (i am not referring to a financially buoyant family) but a home that sees beyond eachother's flaws and work towards the benefit of everyone concerned in the family, not neglecting the core belief of the family.
A successful home is also a family that has seen the worst side of life but still stand together as there is a popular saying that "family stays together". A successful home is the light of every society because great personalities are birth there. It is very easy to identify one when we see, they weather the storms for eachother both outside and inside. A family that has won the battle of pride and arrogance could as well be seen to be a successful home. We have in different occasions seen families standing up for their own publicly, they will never dare reveal their weakness to others because that is where intruders will find their way in thus, they are more careful not to let their guard down for any stranger.
Do You Agree That A Good Society Is Determined By The Number Of Successful Homes Built?
Yes, I do agree that a good society is determined by the number of successful Homes built reason being that; for everyone that steps outside is from one family or the other. A successful society is achievable when the first institution being the family is united and principled. We can only give out what we have, a family that breeds violent children has put the society at the verge of breaking apart and having to deal with violent fellows.
A happy home births a happy society. In a situation where a good number of homes in a society is built on hatred, the settlement should be ready to deal with chaos that is awaiting. Successful homes built on love, patience and trust extends this virtue to the society, making it a place peaceful habitation. You will agree with me that some children exhibit what their parents teach them or what they see their parents do, so let's paint a scenerio where the children gets to see their parents quarreling everyday, when they go out and in a slight provocation can cause a havoc that will be so intensed. This is the impact the family has in the society. Also, if these children grow up with these kind of attitude inculcated on them by their parents, they will get married and still again pass it onto the next generation, this means the chain of violence will still continue because of how the first generation was raised.
Apart From The Three Pillars Above, State And Explain Some Other Pillars You Believe Can Contribute To A Successful Home
Apart from the above listed pillars, permit me to highlight some other key pillars that will help in building a successful home.
• Understanding : A family that understand themselves and would see through possibilities in hard times will always excel. Understanding one another and respecting eachother's opinion is one of the core concept that builds a family. Sometimes, most of the issue we have in the society balls down to the fact that we fail to understand eachother and respects eachother's opinion.
• Respect: The ability to respect eachother is now a major struggle in the society. Any family that wants to succeed start with respecting each member, this also means that even a little child deserves some level of respect. Also, when there is respect, boundaries will be taken to heart and everyone will know where to penetrate to. Respecting one another's feeling, emotions and opinion should be the major core priority of every family that wants to live above disunity.
• Support: For every successful home to exist, the members should be able to to support eachother, weather the storms for eachother and stay together at heart. Support is a vital sauce that spiced up families, for instance if a member of the family is struggling with one financial issue or the other, others should atleast be able to contribute their quota towards the burden of the person, this will help lessen the pressure.
• Transparency: To be able to keep a successful home going, there must be transparency among the members, this won't just foster the development of trust but it will aid a quick appreciation of each members effort. What I am saying in a nutshell is, for a family that wants to move forward, the members should be able to stay truthful and plain to eachother, not trying to play games that will break the family at the long run. Where truth strives, development is inevitable.
• Teamwork: Every home that wants to stay successful should embrace the concept of teamwork, this means that every member of the family should put eachother on the know-how of what is happening and the steps taken or about to be taken. Team workers are builders, achievers and getters. So for every successful home, there should be a corresponding concept of teamwork in play.
What Are The Impacts Of A Broken Home On Society?
Broken home has over time caused severe crisis to the society and here are some;
• Half Trained Children: Sometimes we wonder why alot of adults are behaving like toddlers around us, the answer is not far fetched because most broken homes has left a lot of children untrained or half-trained. Children from broken homes finds it very hard to blend with various social etiquettes, they just act based on how they were raised from either of their parents, more of a reason we have babies on adults body. These set of people sees social etiquettes to be boring and uncalled for, thereby wanting to live the life they have been raised with. In a society where we have such people who dont observe social etiquettes, morals will be a big problem facing such society as the unexpected will be happening here and there. These people finds it very hard to respect people's opinion and could go extra miles to display their ignorance.
• Increase In Crime Rate The family being the first institution has a vital role to play when it comes to limiting the rate of crimes in the society, so if children are raised wrongly from a broken home, they will be left with so much options to explore both the good, bad and ugly. Most of the crimes we see happen is as a result of neglecting act of parents towards their children because they are far apart, giving little to no attention to their kids.
Also, some children are forced to grow above their age just to blend with the society and at the process, they get into the wrong hands of mentor and the rest has always been the history.
• High Rate Of Depression: Broken homes at some point gives the children psychological wounds that takes decades to heal, when this happens, mortality rate increases in the society as we have been hearing rumours and news of teenagers taking their lives at early stage of lives because they are not getting the needed encouragement to go through their storms, so taking their lives becomes their only option of overcoming depression and worries.
• High Rate Of Child Abuse: This is a striking issue that our society have been facing for God-knows decades now. Early Child Labour happens mostly in broken homes, when the parents neglects the children to their dates, they will be left with no other option than to survive the hard way. Some might even have to face child trafficking from human explorers. This is a sad case broken homes has caused the society.
Going to society, we will realize how some children have to sleep under the bridge and face the bad weathers at night because their parents seems to neglect them and they took it upon themselves to fend for themselves.
• High Rate Of Illiteracy: As earlier said, broken homes often breed good number of illiterates, both psychologically and academically. When the parents are not together to take care of the kids and they go about roaming the street with no hope of receiving any form of education, the rate at which illiterates will skyrocket to, will be very high, this alone deforms the society because where there are more unlearned than the learned, development paralysis sets in, whatever the government does for the society means nothing to the illiterate and the value of it dosent matter.
Thank you for staying up with me till the very end. I really do appreciate. I invite @etette @heisjubilant @sureway044 To participate in this contest if they have not yet done that.
