Happy International Men's Day to all the men out here, I was quite busy and couldn't write about this but permit me to do this here and now. We all have men in our lives, might be our fathers, brothers, uncle's, grandpa's and what have you but somehow I feel men are not really being given the flower they deserves.
Men are the engine room of every family, they are the forefront of the society, sometimes I wonder how it will be if there wasn't beings like men, I mean where others run to when it gets tough?. Since I was a kid, I was raised to stand strong and defend my female siblings and I won't lie I have gotten into fight because of my sister's trying to defend them.
I grow up seeing my dad working himself out everyday just to put food on the table, never for a day apart from sunday's will he stay back from work even when he is sick, I wonder where he draw his strength from. He could be tired and drained emotionally but will never show a sign of it, just acting strong so we won't see him as a weak father.
Men are built strong that somehow if they cry, the society will judge them and term them as "weaklings" so all they do is just bottle up their pains and let everything move on the way it is, I feel for men. That is why it's very hard for a man to be helped than a woman (please this isn't about gender fight), but the advantages that comes with being a man is being outweighed by the disadvantages .
Reach out to a man in your life, tell them how strong they are, tell them how empty and void the world would be without them, tell them all the sweet things in the world, they also deserve to blush because the responsibility they carry is too much and atleast a day like this is spared out to celebrate them. " I am a man and I celebrate myself and all the responsible men all over the world".
