THE DIARY GAME 02/05/2021

Hi!!!

I bring to you my diary. Read patiently

I woke up all tired, stressed out and so bloated because I ate late at night. I immediately took my phone which was lying just beside me. I checked the time and it was 4am.

I really wanted to go back to bed like seriously even just for another 30mins but my fragile conscience didn't let me go back to sleep.

I went to bathroom, eased myself. Came back to the room and lay back on the bed and I was just thinking about so many things; my mom is not feeling fine, my internship which is about to begin and am not prepared mentally and financially. I thought about so many things.

Then I snap out of it and decided to pour my heart to the Almighty God. I prayed and cried. After praying, I felt so relieved and indeed God is great.

I woke all my siblings up so that we could early do our laundry as it was ghost town. So that later during the day we will have time to flex and play and rest more.

We brushed, and everyone went for their morning routine. I made breakfast (pap with Powdered soya beans and bread). My junior brother, Franklin carried water and filled every empty basin at home. Meriline my cousin washed dishes and Ashley my junior sister mopped the floor.

This chores went so fast until I was suprised how we finished so fast. We lavished all the pap and nothing was left for mom and dad.

Then came legendary laundry. It was like "okrika" market. Everyone with his/her own clothes. Added to mine was mom and dad's clothes too and shoes.

We played music from my portable speaker which spiced the laundry. I seriously can't wash my clothes without music. It makes you finish without even knowing.

It was already 8:30am and my parents were awake too. So I stopped my laundry and went to take care of my mother and father. I fried them egg with spaghetti. It didn't take me long since I boiled the spaghetti the previous day and kept in the freezer.

My mom ate and later on took her medication. My siblings finished their laundry and gave me a helping hand. By 10am we were done.

I was back to the kitchen to cook rice and groundnut soup. It's one of the easiest and fastest meal to cook so I didn't even use up to an hour in the kitchen and I was done.

Only my junior brother, Franklin ate immediately. He's always hungry. I wonder if he has 4 stomachs like a goat.

It was movie time. We watched movies ( the fisherman's diary produced and directed by Quang Quintus) . The movie was so emotional. The story of a young girl who was denied the right to education and was sent to marry at the age of 12. She was being sexually abused each day by her husband. She ran back to her dad for help but the father sent her back. She was about to commit suicide but discovered that there was more to her life than the suffering she was going through and she escaped to safety.

When this was finished, we watched another movie titled " coming to America" . This one was just so funny. Time went so fast and I didn't even noticed.

We then ate. My parents ate too. My mom took her medications. While we're watching movies, dad at the back yard cleaning it and planting plantain suckers and mom was watching the movies with us.

We went to straw

Came back when it was almost dark. This is when we all took our baths. The girls and then the guys who are shy to bath together took their bath one after the other unlike us the ladies.

We took super and I gave my mom her evening dose. I was in my room. I studied for sometime and texted with friends and then fell asleep with the phone in my hand. My bad that I didn't even prayed. And that was my day.

Thanks for reading through!
