Greetings to steemworld!

Introduction

It can be difficult to know which parenting strategies really promote learning. As parents, we need to improvise strategies that helps your
kids to socialize both in school, home and society. A successful experience in school is not only about report cards. Don't compare your kids with others because he/she maybe good in an aspect while others are lacking and vice versa. I get to discover what my children can do and I encourage them to strive harder to do more on that aspect.

Remember! Love the child you have, not the child you wish you had. Ideally your child will learn how to learn, retain information, think independently, ask questions and develop an increasing sense of competence depending too on the type of environment. This is because I believe in the school of thought which says heredity and environment influences the understanding of any child.

I went to school today to pick up my son and I had to check how far they've gone with their scheme of work so that I can help him with catching up lessons. I asked and the teacher gave me and most importantly, I had to do a preview of the lessons taught last week since my son was sick with malaria.

So as we came back home, I had to serve him fruits and allow him rest for two hours. Then I introduced the lesson on addition. He's a kindergartener and their lessons are very practical. I was glad he understood what I was teaching him because most often this my son doesn't want me teaching him like the elders brothers. He had to draw circles underneath the numbers in each case. I used teaching methods like drilling, demonstration, questioning to obtained my objectives.

Encouraging children when they put little efforts motivates them more. A little good job and thumbs up can make a child do extra ordinary things we couldn't believe. Stop comparing these kids with others. Everyone is unique and born with different inert potential that needs to unfold and we should identify and push them with our words of encouragement to do great.
Ensuring good communication between schools and parents, and sharing information on what parents can do to support learning at home through home work and maybe some topics children don't grab well in class should be reinforced at home.

Conclusion

Very young children are naturally driven to learn and explore the environment they They're in are at the very beginning of their lifelong quest togain mastery and understanding of the world around them. As they reach out, some may fall and get back up again, they gain a heightened sense of mastery, competence and self-efficacy especially when they're guided and given reasons why rather than imposing.

You are welcome

Indeed success in school should not only be considered from a child's report card. I have many friends who are very intelligent when it comes to academics, but are very challenged when it comes to socializing with other mates in school and the society.

On the other hand, I know many friends whose parents think less of them because of their performance in school, but these ones actually have better social skills.

What a controversial situation 😒

I'm telling you
We can change that from our generation right?
Teaching our children that it's important to an around person

Oh yes, you are absolutely right

Your kids are blessed to have you. I when growing up didn't have anyone to teach me, i virtually learnt all by myself, from assignments to writing and reading. Coz everyone was busyπŸ˜…. That kid must succeed in Jesus name🀲🏿

Amen
