Greetings, fellow Steemians. I trust we're all doing well today.
These days, I've been on the move, trying to find opportunities to speak. I want to speak to teachers, learners, and the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). I've also been seeking opportunities to train teachers at these institutions in public speaking. These trainings aim to provide teachers with valuable tips to complement their existing skills, making the teaching and learning process more effective and rewarding for learners, institutions, teachers, and the teachers themselves.
This post is here to encourage anyone who is trying to do something worthwhile in their life to not wait for opportunities but to go out there and look for them. In public speaking, while I was still undergoing training, I realized that to speak for a fee, you must first speak for free. This is because people can't pay you to do something they have no idea that you do or how good you are at what you do.
This doesn't just apply to professional speakers but also to all other professions. When you're pursuing something worthwhile, you need to understand that at the beginning, you'll do a lot that you won't be paid for. But as time goes on, you'll get paid for more than you do.
It's a law of nature (sowing and reaping) that states whatever you sow is what you will reap. However, there's a twist to this law: We all reap more than we sow. You can't sow a cup of corn and harvest a cup of corn. This also means we should be cautious about the things we sow because this law applies to both good and evil. So if you plant an unhealthy lifestyle, be prepared for a larger harvest of bad health.
As you read this, be encouraged to keep searching, even when you don't find opportunities right away. Prioritize relationships as well, and you'll go far because God's blessings don't fall from the sky but always pass through people.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you found this useful.
Let's keep building👏
