Say No!

Greetings Steem Family,

It's been a wonderful day here!

As usual, we had an amazing public speaking session with the kids today.

I shared a message I titled "Learning How to Say No" with the students.

In this discussion, I talked to the kids about the importance of being able to say "no" to things that don't align with their spirit, goals, or dreams.

We emphasized the benefits of using "no" for time management. I helped the participants understand that not being able to say "no" translates to an inability to manage time effectively.

We discussed that it's not just about saying "no" to things we dislike, but also about doing it respectfully and empathetically. For example, Oben could ask Julius, "Julius, can we go play football?" Julius might respond, "I'd love to play football with you, Oben, but I have assignments due tomorrow.

After the lecture, we practiced the lesson. We did role-playing exercises where one actor would make an offer, and the other would decline politely, then they would swap roles. I gave them the freedom to come up with their own offers and responses to encourage creative thinking. During this exercise, so much potential and talent were revealed in these young minds!

The second exercise only required a bottle of water and a cup. I filled the cup to the brim with water and challenged each participant to hold it and move from one side of the stage to the next, handing it over to the other participant without spilling any water. Participants took turns, meticulously, calmly, and with focus, moving with the water to the other end of the stage. Some spilled the water, and some didn't, but the most interesting part was how much the participants enjoyed the exercise.

Once everyone had a turn, I asked them about the lessons they learned from the exercise. I got some amazing answers, like "Rushing isn't good if you want good results," "Careful work leads to success," and "Taking enough time to do work leads to great work."

This is how I spend my Mondays, doing what I love and what fulfills me. I cherish the memories we create so much, and I'd love to encourage everyone who reads this to find what gives their life meaning and purpose. Do what makes you happy, have fun doing it, and spread love in the process. That's how you live a good life.

Jim Rohn said, "It's not how long you live, but how well you live."

I believe in this concept. ✨

Cheers, ✌️
