Love Between Siblings

It is very important for siblings to grow up knowing that they are obliged to love their fellow brothers and sisters.Most children especially from African homes have not grown in love. Most African parents do not live on love such that the children can follow. Alot of women stay in marriage not because they are sincerely happy but because it is a shelter for their children and a place of shared responsibility over the children. Children grow up watching the struggles ,fights, quarrels disagreements and love within their parents ,if they are fortunate to have parents who can hide the odds and show them mostly the good side.

The African way of life

Most African siblings turn to treat each other as they have seen it happen in their families. They insult without a second thought, they fight like they have seen in their mum and dad, they use mean words on each other without thinking about the implications. Sadly , children copy what ever they watch from their parents and sometimes practice in on their siblings.

For the fortunate few their siblings are their very best friends. they ,trust love and protect each other with their lives. No one dares their fellow sibling and goes without a warning. This is what parents should teach their children. To be each others keeper even if the parents do not practice it. Teach the children to be more considerate about their siblings.Teach the children to forgive and spread love.Teach them to check on each other often, to share their plans and maybe plan together. Teach them stand for their siblings and never let them go through hard times by themselves. Teach them to learn skills that can help them in future and not let them just struggle on their own. let them help each other succeed, let them carry their burdens together share their pains together and celebrate together. This way ,your siblings will always be happy and find more reason to celebrate Life.
