Good day, everybody, my name is oluwatimileyin and I am happy to participate in this community and joined the engagement contest for Are people made or born? Here is my participation in the contest, and I hope you do enjoy what you read.

What do you understand about Talent (ability)? by example

---

Talents are what I refer to as a natural gift, they are a unique ability to make someone do something special, talents are gifts in a sense that it is not everyone who is blessed with it, thou it has been proven that all human being have their own special gift, while some might discover theirs, and it's also possible for others not to discover theirs in the early stage of life.

Talents are what makes you special, everyone has their talent, for example, I believe I have the talent of single, which these talents are gotten from my mum, due to the reason that she's a choir, and as well that makes me be able to sing better.

Most talents are always passed down from parents to children, you can see a father having secured special skills, there's a perfect tendency that the child also have that skills, an example of talents are singing, rapping, dancing, and e.t.c

Difference between in-born and self-learned talent?

Talents varies, and people have several ways by which they acquire their talents, I have explained earlier that most talents are passed from father or mother to a child, where I also made an example that I am good at a single reason due to the fact that my mum loves to sing, and she has a sweet voice of songs, this is an example of inborn talent.

Inborn talents are the talents passed from a father to a child, and the child is likely to pick the same path as any of his/her parents.

Self-learned talents are the talents you discovered yourself, your parents don't have this talent, you just seem to stand out and seek interest in it all by yourself, this type of talents are always interesting, as whoever has such might firstly have difficulties pursuing it, but the moment you realized it as something you love to do, you keep on doing it, and the thirst for success makes it achievable.

How can you identify talent?

Identifying talents could be difficult especially if you are not close to the person, there are scenarios where you see most people being good at many things, but you don't know which one exactly they are best at.

To identify talent, you have to consider whether you enjoy doing it, or you consider whether the person enjoys what they are doing, and how happy they felt while doing it.

You should as well consider whether it is easy for them, for what is yours shall always be easy for you when people do things without pressure, and it's just as if it's at their fingertips, then you can identify that as a talent to them, or, maybe when you see a child playing intense ball at a young age, and the boy is finding it too easy to play balls, then we could identify football as the child talent.

I know that I am talented in various things such as ;

Business Skills - I am very talented when it comes to business, especially the marketing part, I am very charming when it comes to convincing people to patronize my products, I know how to make them come to my understanding, then I could get them to participate in my business easily.

Making Hair - Since I was little, I have started making hair all by myself without needing anybody's help, I believe this is due to the reason that my sister as well loves making hair, and I enjoy making my siblings and my friend's hair, when I was I college, I used to make money making peoples hair as well, and it's surprising that no one taught me how to do that, I just discovered it myself.

I love it when I dress people up, and they started looking all shiny, I am the fashion show type, right from my little age, I do dress my younger sisters, then make them look like baby dolls, as the idea of dressing them up was lovely to me, and I do enjoy making hairs a lot.

Thank you Steem Cameroon for organizing this amazing contest, it's indeed an interesting and lovely one, I was happy to read about people's talents and as well read how they were able to discover their talents at an early age in their period, it's such an amazing moment which I could always relate with.
