Good day dear Steemians I am previledged to participate in the biodiversity challenge launched by @thegreens inorder to create awareness of the biodiversity day which will be celebrated tomorrow the 22/05/2021.
My favourite plant is called the peace plant and called on french" arbre de paix" as seen below

The peace plant is an ancient plant which have been used by our forefathers for centuries.this plant is found almost in every part of the country and it is used by many people.

I choose this plant as my favorite plant because the plant is a sign of peace just as the name indicates.i have seen so many instances in cameroon peace plant is been used.they include;
when there is strike (grievances) , people usually walk with the plant to show a pacific walk without the intention of being violent as was the case in the northwest region of cameroon.

Also in our traditional communities and even in churches they use this plant to bless people and ask them to go in peace like in the catholic church.

Again,in our quarters when an individual finishes to build his house, he will hang the plant on the roof of his house to say he is coming in peace. Besides,even when a plot of land is been sold , they use the plant to mark the boundary . Just this act of planting the plant at the boundary shows that the owner needs peace in his area.others even use it to fence their compound since it grows tall and well organized as seen below

To recapitulate, my wish is that let there be peace in the northwest region, southwest region and the northern part of the country.
