The Importance of My Food In Marriage

Many people want to get married but the question is how much have they learned about marriage? How much do they know about marriage? Many run away from Counseling and say that the Holy Spirit will guide them. They believed that prayer and fasting can do everything. These breed of people spiritualizes everything concerning marriage. As important is spirituality in marriage so also is the physical aspect. I had an accounter with a couple. This couple are six months in marriage and the marriage is already at the edge of collapsing. What is the reason, spirituallity has become more important than my food. I do not mean that my food is more important than spirituallity.

The couple got married and the lady told the husband that they are going to spend their honeymoon fasting and praying. Their honeymoon took three weeks without them eating my food. This guy has barely gone through this so called spiritual foundation laying. Every week she has 3days to be on the mountain and 2 days to rest and only two days for the husband and wife business which at times is not effective.

This went on and on and the clamax came. The intercessors of the church are having 90 days fasting. This lady came back home from church and told her husband she will be joining the intercessors in their church in a 90days prayers and fasting. She has already concluded without the husband's approval. Four weeks are gone with her husband burning with desires.

He told the wife, he can no longer withstand the challenge and suggested "you have your program during the day and in the night let me eat my food. The wife told him that he has been waiting for her during their courting period for 3years and he should not complain going without his food for just 90 days. This was the start of the wound that will take years to heal and if care is not taken divorce will be the reward. Few days after this discussion, his wife has not made any adjustment.

The husband started going to work and coming back in the morning. He will come back in the morning and change for work. This continued for two weeks, his wife was like God has removed her roadblock from her way of prayers and fasting. She nolonger have someone who is disturbing her. She will go on with her program and freely and come back home in the night praying almost the whole night. It was not long that she became worried because the husband nolonger has her time. Even greetings was like greetings between enemies.

My food is one of the purposes of marriage. Joking with this in marriage, you are digging your doom as this lady did. The Holy scripture says couple should agree upon before carrying out an spiritual discipline of prayers and fasting and this should not take long. But this lady has it that she got married to this guy for payers to the point that her marriage is falling apart but she couldn't notice.

Peace at home will be determined by how the couple are in the business of carrying out their rules. When you neglect your rule, you are opening up a door for the enemy of marriage to enter. This lady did ignore her rule of attending to her husband's need and thought that God will hear her in prayers. She was doing a great and beautiful thing for the family but she did that the wrong way.

Ignorance of your rules as a wife or husband and even you thinking of getting married, is dangerous. My food is a factor of building your marriage but it is also a tool of destruction when you locked 🔐 it from your husband and throw the keys in an ocean.
