End mobile money tax in cameroon

A tax is a levied impose by the government to it citizens or organisation to collect revenue for the state to carry out it public expenditure , failure to pay this tax will invite a series of sanction . ![IMG_20220104_142635.jpg]()

this is the beginning of the year the time we expect a change from our authority to bring about growth to the economy of the country but we were schock with the waving news on a new tax known as Mobilmoney which this tax show a 0.2%to be pay by all the operating sector of mobile money such as
MTN,Organge,nexttle which the payment of the tax is done by the the person to send money have to pay 0.2% rate and the person to withdraw the said money is to pay thesame 0.2% of tax. The effect of this tax is enemouse as it aim at crimping the volnerabl population ,this has led to the out cry of the masses in Cameroon who have taken to their social media platforms to denounce such tax on watsap, Facebook, Twitter this tax will go a long way to dry low income earner and the middle class ,this move is also going to bring about low economy development In the village year 2022 as it will render many Mobil money operator jobless, who solely depends on it for a living
We all know what is take to be jobless in this our present dispensation where the price of basic needs had risen to the peak couple with the crises affecting the North West and south west region of Cameroon which has bring about inflation to the Cameroon economy the government cloud see into it by bringing a solution to mutiple problem but it rather come with another means of problem by placing tax which is to bring poverty to the masses a critical example can be seen as follow the effect of it

0.2% of 10,000frs =20frs
Imagine 20.000.000 Cameroonian
averagely send 100000frs a day it will be as follow
20frs ×2000000 Cameroonian= 40.000.000frs
From the above analysis to evaluate it in a year the following will be given
365×40.000000= 146.00.000000 (14.6 billions
