someone might have try to go into poultry but listen without a first class knowledge you will run to lose. let me give you a first class teaching on it.
before you go into this sector, you need to have the resources, the money, the time and the capacity.
firstly , i ordered the birds when they are small. yes you order from a good place that have reputation. it's important because some birds didn't undergo all the stages. and we lack the catalyst of growth no matter how much you feed. so get a healthy bird's from a good farm with big reputation. this is very important it's the foundation of having a big boiler chicken.
secondly, availability of good shelter! no birds will grow well when they lack shelter.this shelter must be free from sun, spaces, easy for air penetration and a strong and protected structure against snake's. snake's do kill them alot. this is very important so be intentional when providing shelter for your chicken's.
thirdly, available of electricity, o yes they need electricity too. to keep them warm at night and to keep them active. when they are not active they become lazy. and any small cold they fall sick.
fourthy, feeds is the catalyst of growth!!! we have a good feeds in my place. they are the boiler starter and boiler finisher. we normally use boiler starter when they are still young. this particular feed is smaller in size and contain more protein in it. with this boiler starter you are feed the bird's for good 2 months and 2 weeks. don't be in a hurry when they lack protein they start to grow tall and not fat. so that's to be taking note of! feed appropriately . it's not how fast.
after the first 2 months and 2 weeks,you get to carry out the conclusion growth. that's applying boiler finisher. the boiler finisher gives us mature meat, add weight to the birds and give room for the laying of eggs too. the boiler finisher should be use for 2 weeks and 1 months so not to spend too much money as a commercial farmer and also to prevent too much weight. Too much weight kills birds too.
And again the a availability of water. it's very important. water is needed too they are living thing not non living thing so that's it. with the water you can give them drug's without stress so with water it's made easy to give your birds drugs when sick or not sick.
it's advisable to give them drugs every 3 day's.
lastly please keep the environment clean. it's mandatory you do that. sweep the place every morning not weekly.
