Hi great people from great community. I'm glad to reach you again this weekend from Nigeria. Thank God it's another Saturday, my best day. It's my pleasure to tell you how my Saturday went. It was very stressful but I thank God, I achieved a whole lots. Here is how my day went.
Knowing that I had a myriad of scheduled activities at home and my best friend's wedding to attend, i woke up as early as 5am.I woke up this time unlike other Saturdays so I can catch up with all my activities for the day.
Immediately after my morning prayers for God's wisdom for the day, I went to exercise myself on the road. I was jogging for the distance of two kilometers and then came back.
When I came back from jogging, I had to wash few clothes I will wear to work on Monday. I tried to speed up domestic activities so as to attend the wedding of my friend on time. I didn't want to sit at the back.
At this time, it was 9.30am. The wedding was to start by 11am. I rushed to have my hair cut at the barber's shop so as to look good. The barber was a nice man and knew my hair style without bargain because I 've been barbing my hair always with him. He gave me a nice cut.
I came back from the barber's shop, had beans and ripe plantain for breakfast and then left by 11am. I was already late so I took a cab for a drop. When I got to the church where the wedding was conducted, I discovered that not many people were present. Thank God the event did not start as scheduled.
My afternoon activities were in the church. The event started officially by 12.15pm. I was excited to be among the first in attendance to start. Isaac is my friend and a course mate in my Masters program. His wife is Elizabeth, a beautiful, humble lady. My other course mates also attended just to grace the occasion and celebrate with one of us. Three of us were happy to be at the wedding. Emem, Peace and I had to support our own; we gave a token to the couple.
At the wedding, my friends took pictures from their phones.
The event lasted till 4pm. After that it was time for wining and dining. I wasn't really hungry. I only took jollof rice out of the variety of food served. We took pictures as a family after the reception.
It was a great time at my friend's wedding. I came back by 5.40pm, took my bath and then relaxed because I was extremely tired. By 7pm, I tried to write for contest in steemit, but was overtaken by sleep. I had to post this event before I dozed off.
