Pollution is the release of substances in the environment in such quantity and duration that it becomes harmful to man and the environment.
In this light of pollution , we have air pollution, water pollution, and land pollution as the 3 major types of pollution.
With this background in mind ,I will like to share with you how I in my own Conner is fighting land and water pollution in my community.

Yesterday 09/08/2021 I started gathering plastic bottles at the camci field for the production of a child friendly space, in my neighborhood as majors in fighting the the global challenge of plastic bottles pollution from camci to the world.
There reason I chose to start at the field during a football game are this;
- to creat a consciousness to the players who brings this plastic bottles from their home and after drinking it's content they abandon it on the field and go home , which later is carried by the rains and end up in water bodies creating serious pollution challenges. This field campaign was a success as many seeing me picking the plastic bottles , asked questions and promise not to use single use plastic bottles again .
- the field is a major source of plastic pollution in my neighborhood as it gathers more than 800 people a week to watch, or play the beautiful game of football, so sensitizing the group is sensitizing the whole community in one place.
I was able to gather over 200 plastic bottles , in preparation of the child friendly space construction which will start in December and use up, more than 50000 plastic bottles from the environment.

I personally believe as steemians we owe it to educate our community, proposing local solutions in solving global issues.
This child friendly space will go a long way to accommodate over 30 children and host a community library for kids there by promoting education for all.
This project hast been greatly inspired by @thegreens and soported by the entire steem cameroon community.
