The Diary Game: Travelling Out Of My State Through Water For Work (04-12-2024)

Hello friends, your favourite steemit friend is here, today was epic, I had fun, worked and met wonderful people out here. Just take some chill pill, I will just get you through my day, it won't be bored, I promise you this.

I woke up because my alarm started ringing, I set the alarm to ring by 6:45am, yes where I will be going today was very far, infact it was an inter state work. I took my bath, brushed my mouth And as for breakfast, it wasn't on the menu at least for that morning because all I was thinking of was how to get to Calabar before 12pm.

I boarded kekenapep from my house to the a certain location there I took taxi to Itu River, the short cut is crossing the large water body so I could go over to Calabar, I had to take this risk because if I was to take the normal route, It would've cost me so much.

When I arrived at Itu LGA, I walked around the remote area to see if I would get to see anyone who would register their sim, there I met few customers but I didn't want that to make me change my mind from going to Calabar. Then I took few walk to the river side, I saw how timbers were being transported from the thick forest and across the river to the mainland, it's such a stressful procedure but it's worth it.

So I boarded one of the free boat that was there, I was taken across the water to Calabar, he charged me about a thousand naira. It was cheap compared to how it was being charged before now. Getting to Calabar, I didn't waste any time, I went in to work, I visited the interior part of the town which is Odukpani, I started there, it's been a while I came here, the people are doing great, there was this dog I met last year when I came here, meeting him today again, he was all grown up, the owner is my long time customer that has been keeping contact with me for a long time now.

I went to the paths, these people over here mainly spend their time in the farm while others in the water, I had to go to the farmland first, thank God I met customers who were moulding blocks and two registered then I went out to the river side where I came from. There I met like ,4 guys who registered new sims, slowly I am beginning to reach my target for the month even at this early stage of the month.

When I left the river side, I now paid my way to the main town, this was where I saw work and almost ran back home, I needed backup and wished I came with someone to help me, alot of customers after seeing my cap knew I was a Telecom agent, they came so I could register and unblock their sims, how I wished any of my colleague came with me, we would've completed our targets for the month together.

I worked till 3pm and I was weak and tired so I went to the shop nearby to sit and rest then bought a bottle of water to drink. The sun was even doing me any good, it was really harsh. After resting for a while, I went back to work, this time I worked till 6pm, then I closed and promised those I didn't attend to that I was coming back tomorrow, I wrote down their names and addresses, so that means Thursday, I am going back to Calabar.

When I arrived the river side, I waited for the guy that dropped me earlier to come, luckily for me, he came quite early, so I paid him again to drop me off at the other side of the river which he did. Getting there, I just took few pictures and went back home.

Getting back home, I bought party jollof on my way, it took me over 2 hours to get back home, and when I reached my house, I undressed and just lied on my bed for a while then ate the rice I bought and took my bath.

I didn't even rest, I had to login my steemit account to make this diary so that immediately I am done with it, I will just sleep, though I am currently struggling with sleep, I will go to bed after this. Thank you for staying up till this time to read my diary friends, I am grateful.
