Hello fellow steemians. Trust we are doing great. I wish to share with you all a rundown or a diary about how my day the second day in the month of April went like
2nd April 2021 is considered “good Friday” a public holiday where Christians of some denominations recognize the death of our lord Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary.
I woke up by 6:00am did one or two things in the house, had a moment of meditation then caught up with an appointment with my mother… though not biological but she had proven herself another mother to me. By 9:40am, I was in her home. Had a wonderful breakfast (Pap and bread with omelets). This is a meal I’ve not eaten for over 3 years. Pap is generally known for a weak effect. There is always that tendency that when you consume pap you suffer body weakness as was my case when I visited her. From the moment I was done with breakfast by body began reacting for the rest of the day.
After breakfast, I gave her some music videos that she demanded from me then later helped her in putting some documents together. See us below.
We had a chat then I later retired to my house. That was at noon.
Later I had an online lecture since the day was declared a public holiday. Had a class till 3:pm when the class was over. From 3 pm my body kept growing weak and lazy reacting to the pap I took earlier that morning. The next thing I did was I read a chapter of the book “maximizing your potential” by Dr. Myles Munroe till 4:30 when I departed to the market to buy some food stuffs that I could prepare for my own house hold. Are you wondering what I went to buy? I wanted to prepare one of our local meals termed “Bitter leaf soup and some plantains”. By 5:00pm, I was back from the market and it was already time for church. I left the food I had to cook then went to church hoping to cook when I retired from church. The midweek service went well then by 6:40pm I was back home. ready and prepared to cook.
It was at 7:50 that I discovered that I had bought the wrong vegetables. Instead of “sweet-bitter leaf,” I bought the opposite. The real “bitter leaf”. It took be over 1 and a half hour of constantly washing the vegetables before I could get rid of the bitter taste.
After that I peeled the plantains, put on the fire and while it was cooking, I was preparing the soup.
By 9:30 pm I was done cooking.
Its was so tiring and frustrating. We ate and enjoyed our meal.
Later took my bath then together we went back to church for a night vigil so was so rich with God’s presence.
Though not very satisfied with how my day went about, the many weaknesses, lapses and challenges, I still thank Oluwa that He granted the day a success.
Thanks for reading
