Greetings everyone, its been a while, really been quiet busy. Happy new month and very soon it will be happy Christmas again.
Some thoughts have been running through my mind these days that i wish to share. Hopefully to get suggestions from you all.
THE LOST SHEEPS
Even in the bible, its narrated that when a sheep among a flock of sheeps get lost, the shepherd leaves the 99 and go in search of the 1.
When a woman looses a coin, will she not light a lamp, sweep untill she finds the coin?
I know its not easy and especially when it comes to our personal lives. As i have learnt from @disconnect, we have to be a motivation to ourselves by never giving up.
Again some may not have that strong zeal to keep up that's why we are here to support others.
I can remember months ago, that i joined steemit, i was lost, like totally lost, after verifying my achievement 1, i moved forward to achievement 2 which took about a month or more before getting verified, i was there changing things left and right, i didn't even understand that i could do other things rather than achievement post. I was checking on it weekly and getting more discouraged untill @b-naj came to my rescue. I went futher texting uncle @fombae for directives about achievement post. But i continued.... this is not my success story as i am still at the basis of these platform.
Others may not patience to wait this long, they may give up, lost interest or even abandon their accounts. Its normal for people to act this way.
But how can we help out, everyone is a leader remember??, how can we bring back the lost? How..
Most at times i see contests for steemit promotion, how to get newbies, but can we also build a strategy of how to get lost newbie?
Can we also create strategies on how to keep newbies?
Somany communities have thousands of members but just very few active members..
Come to think of this, what if we can revive all the thousands of steemit accounts that have been abandoned? Then steemit promotion could be very easy, because if those thousands accounts could recruit just 1 each then we will grow futher.
The lost sheeps....
Remember these people that are backing out are people we brought, so why should we instead focused on just the new. How can we keep these new flocks, how do we protect their interests and how can we make them find interest in steemit again??

Yes you are right especially that Steemit platform is not like others without an appropriate mentoring you can abandone, I had a similar situation like yours but thanks to my mentors I could do it.
Let us start by calling each and everyone who has abandoned steemit privately inlf in case we personally know them to retake back their activities.
Secondly before introducing a newbie let us tell him all the realities and hard work that it needs so that he should not be surprised
