Hello steemians.
Am so excited to share with you my best day. It was a day I had waited for the whole year. It was a day I had to rehearse and practice for over 2 months just to perform on this day. Get ready let's ride on. It is going to be boom boom boom 💥💥💥.
We got up early that morning at 6am, had our morning prayers. There after, we had our breakfast.
After the breakfast, we headed to the HiPi center around Jovance in Yaounde so as to have our last rehearsal session to make sure everything we were to present that evening was on point.
Our crew members included;
***@saxopedia (saxophonists 🎷)
***@darrellbass (bassist 🎸)
***@blaisebass1 (bassist 🎸)
*Rato kabod (pianist 🎹)
*Ernest Melodie (pianist 🎹)
*Herncho (the worshipper)
*Leslie (drummer🥁)
*Nelo (drummer 🥁)
We arrived HiPi center at about 10am. The sound engineer got everything ready and few minutes later, we kicked start with the rehearsal session. Just about about an hour and 26minutes, the practice session was over. We then had a brief talk amongst ourselves and then left for our rest house. When we arrived at our rest house, we had lunch and then I rested for a while then later took my bath and we then left for the program. When we arrived, the church where the program was to take place (Etougebe Baptist Church in Yaounde), we had to balance our instruments. When it was my turn to balance my "talk box", I did a melody and added the lyrics to it which goes "you are all welcome to worship with the instruments"..
Most of the people in the hall were so excited because my instruments was unique and no one had ever seen such in Cameroon (am actually the 1st person to own a talk box in Cameroon 🇨🇲🤭🤭🤭). After my balance I went to greet a friend of mine (Mozart drums and Anatole). They were so excited and told me I sounded awesome with my talk box. Anatole (a Pianist ) asked me how I connect my talk box, which I then explained to him how it's done. I could barely move freely in the hall because all 👀👀👀 👀👀 eyes were on me🤣🤣🤣.
Later into the program, it was time for Bamenda to present. As we mounted the stage and started with our intro, I could here the whole hall screaming 😱 😱😱. When it was time for me to present with my MXR Talk Box, and I started playing, the whole hall began shouting..
Even though the MC of the program cut us short, everyone was like our presentation was awesome 😎. Later during the program, the pastor had to ask all the instrumentalist to come to the front so he could pray for us all. The program ended at about 10:47pm. I greeted some people and introduced myself to them, we took photos and I made some new friends among which were David Boussi a very skillful Pianist 🎹🎹🎹
and also Mildred (a vocalist/singer). I had to say goodbye to her since she was going to leave that evening to Buea. Though it was hard for me but I hope I will see her again 😂😂 someday💕💕💕.
Thereafter, we left for our rest house. When we arrived, we were really tired and hungry but there was nothing to eat. Nelo drums had to do us rice 🍚🍚 (though it was very small, we just had to manage). I then connected my laptop to the TV and played Pro Evolution Soccer ⚽⚽⚽ 2021 with @drumblac. At about 2am, I went to bed.
