Greetings fellow steemians and hope my dairy reaches you all in good shape . Sunday 25/07/21 is a date i wont just forget in a long run , during the past week i have been busy with funeral arrangements of my uncle who is like a dad to me . He had an accident while returning from his daily palm wine supply in town , the accident took place last week tuesday at about 12 noon as reported by those at the scene.

I woke up from bed on sunday 25/07/21 at about 5 am , moved out and assisted those who were cooking at the backyard. At about 6 am , i had a call from @blaisebass01 who was calling to confirm our departure time . Few minutes later he came over on a bike , it was almost time so i got myself prepared too while waiting for our driver who actually disappointed us but thank God mitigations were taken into play immediately. Upon arrival at my uncles residence in bamali ndop ,preparations were actively being carried out while waiting for the body from the mortuary.

The body finally arrived few minutes later and in less than no time the entire compound was over crowded with people. The casket was open for viewing while those in charge of digging the grave were pressurized to do so more rapidly, while waiting for the grave to be dug we move to a nearby house where we would be entertaining our own visitors.

At about 12 noon members of his church group , elders and worship leader continued with a funeral service which ended with offerings , singing and speeches. I must confess the speech given by the president of the drivers union touched me n many others which finalled ended in more n more tears. At about 1pm he was buried by his group members who carried th casket into the grave 😥.

My heart hasnt been so heavy in a long time , but at the end my faith in God helped in sustaining my wounded heart . After the burial we moved back to where we were entertaining our guest and remained there till our departure time.

There was soo much to keep the burial celebration up and running , apart from what we brought to offer well wishers also asssisted with other food stuffs and lots of drinks. At about 4pm we had to gather some of our things and returned to town for security reasons. Back in town i had my rest and was later invited for a small hangout by some of my friends who could not make it to village.
