The Diary Game: A Long Day Well Spent With Family and Friends||30/12/2024||

Good evening @everyone and welcome to my blog. I know you'll missed me and I missed you'll too. I've been on bed rest that's why I couldn't post. But @uyaiuyo is back with full chest.... Smiles. Today, I'll be sharing how I spent my day with family and friends in details with pictures. Please, stay tuned and read with love from @uyaiuyo

In the morning, I woke up very early around 4am so I can meet up all my day's activities. I prayed, washed my face and my hands and went straight to the kitchen to get my baking stuffs for buns making.

This was me mixing all the dry ingredients into flour.

My buns dough was ready and I cut into ball shapes, set aside for it to rest before frying.

And Tadah.... Buns was ready for consumption.

We had plans of going to the village early that morning to put things in place against new year day since it's the family's tradition for every members of the family to always come home for new year day celebration.

This was me in the village that early morning. My baby girl did not allow me snapped myself peacefully. Smiles.

We bought this two chicken for the house, and we also had plans of eating dog meat on new year day.

We drove down to get some sea food at the shore. Just so you know, we're blessed with this Natural Resources. There's a river and people do travel from our home town to calabar, and other places through the use of Ferry.

This section is where the live jackets are (safety measures).

And this is the waiting room where everyone wait and also do bookings before boarding.

This entrance here leads you to where the ferry is packed and loads too.

There's also timber section here at the shore. People come here to buy timbers for their construction and building projects.

This section is where the canoes are being packed and also takes off from here with passengers to their different destinations.

I did not forget to take pictures at the shore too o.

If I forget to tell you that the Almighty Le Meridien, Ibom Hotel and Golf Resorts (5 Star Hotel) in Akwa Ibom State is situated in Our Village, you'll not believe it but now you know.... Smiles.

Later that same morning, I went to the shop, so that mum can attend burial in my home town. Don't forget that by marriage, I have dual citizenship o... Smiles.

I got to the shop and mum was already prepared to leave. The burial was conducted by catholic church and mum was dressed with the "Catholic Women Organization" Uniform (Nka Adiaha Obong)

As a content writer and creator wey I be na... I did not forget to snap with my sweetest mother before she left. I promised to join her later which I later did since the person that was buried was from my paternal family.

In the afternoon, I was still at the church for the burial and my good friend @kingdouglas was the professional photographer.

Finally, church was over and the procession to the grave yard began. 'The Mass Servers' led the procession.

Followed by Mma's children, grand children and great grand children all dressed in white attire.

Other groups and church congregations followed, the brass band and Catholic Woman Organization "Nka Adiaha Obong" also followed.

We got to the compound and Mma was laid to rest successfully. Item six (entertainments/refreshments) followed.

I was already exhausted, so I went back to my shop to rest.

In the evening, I was at my shop and while at the shop, some cultural display (Ekpo' masquerade) started coming out one after the other. I learnt the 'Ekpo' Masquerade leader was doing some kind of celebrations.

My good friend @udoikotabasi stopped by my shop to see me and by this time, my good friend @kingdouglas was already through with his photography business at the burial. He also stopped by to see me. I received them warmly and gave them buns I made earlier that day.

I later proceeded to make fruits for me Gees. I served them with bananas fruits as a fruit lover that I am.

I proceeded to peel the paw paw I had left at the shop for us to enjoy with it because "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy".

We later discussed about Steemit Platform and after they left, I packed things inside and before I finished locking the shop, hubby already arrived to drive us back home. We arrived home at about 6:30pm.

I made dinner for hubby, bathed the kids, had my shower and retired to my bed because it was such a long day but well spent with family and friends.
