Gatineau, Canada, 2019. The theme of this small event was ice age and I wanted to make a realistic mammoth and evoke the history and science about this age of our planet. I ended up falling under the pressure of going the public pleasing route and doing what people know... And I regret it. I tried to do the cutest, most recognizable sculpture I could do and I didn't get the people's choice award I was aiming for. Lesson learned! Next time, I'm going back to scary monsters and cryptic nonsense.
