For our well-being as well as our success, having a good self-image is crucial. When we fail to recognize our self-worth and that of our potential, reaching any goal is going to become incredibly difficult because of self-sabotage.

Self sabotage happens when we consciously want one thing, but subconsciously feel we aren't good or worthy enough to achieve it.

So how do you start recognizing your self-worth?

When it comes to a potential (romantic) partner, we often have a list of qualities that we deem important for them to possess. We often see many virtues in other people,.

However...

People that suffer from low self esteem and a bad self image often fail to see these things in themselves! Because we are always with ourselves, we "normalize" us, and fail to see our self-worth in those instances.

So for mastering one's self-worth, it's crucial to start acknowledging our positive qualities and traits, no matter how small.

It's an exercise to sit down and write out everything (no matter how small) that you have going for you. It's taking the time to make the list of positive traits, but for ourselves instead of other people!
