In our adventure to Japan prior to the outbreak of Coronavirus, Hayley and I visited the suicide forest - a relatively short drive from Tokyo. This part of the trip wasn't planned. We hired a car, stopped at a couple of fast food outlets on the way there and spent about 40 minutes exploring a small part of the Aokigahara Forest.
It really is incredible that we were so lucky to have this time away from home just before the outbreak. Crazy.
