• The are the things to do in preparation for Jesus' coming:
(i) Check your life daily if you were still in the faith: "TEST AND EVALUATE YOURSELVES TO SEE WHETHER YOU ARE IN THE FAITH AND LIVING YOUR LIVES AS [committed] BELIEVERS. EXAMINE yourselves [not me]! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves [by an ongoing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test and are rejected as counterfeit?" (2 Corinthians 13:5 Amps).
(ii) Check your fellowship with Him. If your Communion with God is no longer cordial, you would have to stop whatever work you are doing for Him, endeavour to put things right, and work on your Fellowshipping with Him.
(iii) Check If you still have oil in your lamp. In other words:
a. Are you still on fire for God?
b. Do you still have the first love you had when you newly gave your life to Christ?:
4 NEVERTHELESS I HAVE THIS AGAINST YOU, THAT YOU HAVE LEFT YOUR FIRST LOVE. 5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; REPENT AND DO THE FIRST WORKS, OR ELSE I will come to you quickly AND REMOVE YOUR LAMP-STAND FROM ITS PLACE—UNLESS YOU REPENT" (Revelation 2:4,5 NKJV).
c. Are you not compromising your faith now? Have you not let down your guard? (Revelation 3:3).
d. Are you not going down in your zealousness for the things of God?
