"THEN JOSHUA SAID TO ACHAN, My son, give glory to the LORDS, the God Israel, by telling truth. Make your confession and tell me what you have done. DON'T HIDE IT FROM ME.”
Joshua 7: 19 (NLT)
• Let God lead you on who to relate with, or allow in your camp.
- It is not everyone you should allow or give an access into your life or relate with as a believer in Christ Jesus.
- Someone might look pious outwardly, but the heart of such might not be right.
- Do not try to take God's place in people's life. If God says you should not permit someone in your life, though such has a problem and you wanted to help, please, heed what God has said.
- The secret things belong to God. If you wanted to help or assist someone and God says No, do not argue with Him; He knows the hidden things of the heart.
- Note: this teaching is not about being callous or being insensitive to the needs of others; It is about being sensitive and discerning and not being a victim of any evil.
- Some have wanted to help others, but because they were not sensitive and discerning, they did not ask from God before they made the commitment to help; they later found themselves regretting of what they did in assisting some people.
• Pray often, and about whatever you wanted to do. Ask His Will on whatever step you wanted to take.
- When you pray, God would reveal things happening around you to you.
- The more you pray, the more you receive light, about people and things in general.
- God is not sentimental about His instructions or commands. Thus, do not allow sentiment when it comes to whatever instruction given you by God.
- If you contravened His commands, you would be disciplined or punished. Total obedience is what God demands from every believer—Christians in general.
- When you perceived that God is not happy with you, you should go to Him in prayer and fasting for repentance (Joshua 7:6). And If what you did wrong is known to you, do not hesitate to ask for His mercy and forgiveness (1 John 1:9).
- Your negligence on God's commands can bring a disaster and hardship on the innocent people around you—your immediate family or those who are working with you (Joshua 7:25).
- Do not think about your comfort in whatever you wanted to do, consider the implication of whatever you do on others; your family, loved ones, friends, workers, and as many that the consequences of your actions could affect: "LET EACH OF YOU LOOK OUT NOT ONLY FOR HIS OWN INTERESTS, BUT ALSO FOR THE INTERESTS OF OTHERS" (Philippians 2:4 NKJV).
- Do not be callous like Achan, who did not consider the implication of his action on the whole congregation of the Israelites. Be considerate and obey God's instructions.
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in Jesus' mighty name.
- Whatever the hold of sickness in your life is broken and it will never rise again in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Peace!
STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
- If you took the steps As highlighted above, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
