“FOR WE KNOW IN PART and we prophesy in part.”
1 Corinthians 13:9 (NKJV)
• God's call into the ministry work is a call to get fulfilment of His plan for one's life.
- Everyone called into the ministry is called into a particular, specific, purpose or plan that should be fulfilled.
HOWEVER, you cannot fulfil the plan you do not know. - You need to embark on a discovery to know the plan of God for your life and the ministry.
- It is not enough to follow somebody you admire in the ministry and desiring what the person has.
YOU need to discover God's unique plan for you as an individual.
SOMEONE who is ahead of you in the ministry may be encouraging you, wanting you to follow his footsteps in the ministry, however, you need to discover your place in God's plan for His kingdom on earth.
• God does things progressively and systematically
GOD'S pattern is one step at a time: "Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased, and you inherit the land" (Exodus 23:30).
GOD'S plan for your life and ministry would be unfolded to you progressively.
- Patience is needed to follow God in fulfilling His plan for you.
GOD will not show you everything about your assignment at a time, vision evolves.
YOUR faithfulness in one leads to another. - Whichever part, portion, that God has revealed to you presently, follow it up faithfully with all your heart.
- God may not reveal the next part of His plan for your life and ministry, if you do not follow through, the one at hand faithfully.
• Many could not discover God's plan for their lives and ministry not to mention of following it through
PATIENCE is needed to walk with God in fulfilling His plan for one's life.
- God's plan for YOU is unfolded one after the other.
- Many are in the ministry today who do not know the actual plan of God for their lives and ministries, the are just guessing in the work.
YOU must take time to seek God's face concerning your life and the ministry. - In seeking His face, you pray meditatively wanting to know what He will say to you.
“I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, AND WATCH TO SEE WHAT HE WILL SAY TO ME, and what I will answer when I am corrected.”
Habakkuk 2:1 (NKJV)
- This prayer may take days or weeks before you know His plans per time
IT is not a prayer you pray once, it has to be a persistent prayer.
• Truth: Seeking to know God's plan as regards the steps you want to take in the ministry is about the most difficult aspect of the ministry work, because everything you do centered on this.
IF you failed to know the exact thing which God wanted you to do, failure is inevitable.
• In fact, in all my journey in the field ministry, I discovered that the problem of most ministers who are not doing well in the work is about knowing God's exact plan for their lives and ministry.
- Many Minister are just marking time on the same spot without any progress because of this issue.
- Some want cheap success. They do not want to task their flesh to seek God's face in order to know His plan for their life.
- God may not show you everything about your ministry at A time, if He does, you will not be following Him by Faith, and He wants us to walk with Him by Faith, that is what pleases Him.
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him,…”
Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)
- God will reveal a part, A portion or fragment of your assignment to you and asked you to follow it through, that is, to do it.
YOUR faithfulness in fulfilling that part which He has revealed to you determines whether He will reveal the next part or portion which would be greater than the one at hand.
• God rewards faithfulness
- God watches your commitment and faithfulness.
- God will not promote or reward based on your physical results, though He is not against it, He wants it, however, that is not His objective.
IT is your commitment and faithfulness to that part, the portion of the ministry which God has revealed to you now—presently. - God will watch you for a period of time, couple of years, and wanted to know whether you are qualified for the promotion or not.
GOD will not promote you because of your agitation.
• God is faithful
- When you are due for a promotion, even if you do not ask for it, He will promote you.
WHAT you are due for, God will not deny you: "For there is no partiality with God" (Romans 2:11). - Yours is to be faithful in your own part and trust God to do His part.
AND about your benefits, you will not be denied, God is not partial, He is a just One.
“For God is not unjust to forget your work and labour of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”
Hebrews 6:10 (NKJV)
• You keep asking everyday in your fellowship with God, what next He would want you to do.
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
Peace!
