WHAT SOURCE DOES THAT SUPERNATURAL GIFT IN YOU HAS? 3

16 NOW it happened, as we went to prayer, THAT A CERTAIN SLAVE GIRL POSSESSED WITH A SPIRIT OF DIVINATION MET US, who brought her masters much profit by fortune-telling.
17 This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, “THESE MEN ARE THE SERVANTS OF THE MOST HIGH GOD, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.”

18 AND many who had believed came CONFESSING AND TELLING THEIR DEEDS.
19 ALSO, MANY OF THOSE who had PRACTICED MAGIC BROUGHT THEIR BOOKS TOGETHER AND BURNED THEM IN THE SIGHT OF ALL. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver."

• Most of those who usually have the strange gifts, or properties of the devil, are always those who have partaken of the table of the devil or demons [directly by themselves or indirectly through their parents who might have taken them to some places, and dedicated them or made them to be initiated in their childhood] and such have later come to the knowledge of Christ Jesus.

But, because they do not renounce whatever they had received from the kingdom of Satan, they could not enjoy the benefits of the Kingdom of God as they supposed and be used by God fully (Acts 19:18,19).
Such people might want to believe and consider that, since they are new creations in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17), those gifts or whatever power given to them, which they brought from the devil's kingdom, are new also.
THAT such gifts or powers, which they received from the devil, could be used for God, to minister to others, and also defend or protect themselves with them.
Listen, the GIFTS that are not given by God the Father, through the Holy Spirit, are not allowed in the Church of Christ Jesus.
Whoever has gone to consult an oracle, a local deity, like been to: soothsayers, voodoo priests, sorcerers, palm readers, herbalists, and those who consult mediums, seeking for helps or directions (1 Corinthians 12:22) may have permitted or given an access to one demon or another in their lives (1 Samuel 28:7-14).
Consulting mediums, who contact the dead, is forbidden in the Bible (Leviticus 20:6,7; Isaiah 8:19).
The Bible consistently condemns the practice of divination and magic, or sorcery. They are condemned because the source is often demonic and the practitioners are trying to circumvent God, find a way to avoid God and His rules, in order to find guidance or direction for the future.
Therefore, consulting mediums or visiting those who work for the devil as mentioned above, gives the devil an opportunity to operate in your Life (Ephesians 4:27). IT CAUSES DEMONS TO ACCESS YOUR LIFE.
If after you had given your life to Christ, you do not reject or renounce whatever supernatural manifestation operating in your Life, before your claimed encounter with Christ, you may not enjoy the full benefits of God's Kingdom on earth.
Since you cannot eat at the table of the devil, and at the same time, that of God (1 Corinthians 10:20,21); you will have to renounce that which belongs to the devil completely (Acts 19:18,19).
Like I shared in the first part of this teaching, Simon the SORCERER did not renounce all he got from the devil completely, but wanted to carry them over to the Kingdom of God—the Church. HE thus offered money to buy the power to lay hands on people for the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 8:13-23).

NOTE: there are things you may notice If the devil or any of his demons had infiltrated your Life:
(i) You may notice the operations of demons. That you are being controlled or manipulated or influenced by some strange powers or spirits which you are oblivion of the source—how you come about such powers.
(ii) You may also be seeing into the realm of the spirit. Having visions or different encounters in your dreams.
(iii) You may have difficulties in getting a marriage partner, and If you had a partner, having issues, the fruits of the womb, may be a challenge.
(iv) Some, theirs may be financial droughts. Whilst in some people's case, their spouses might be subjected to attacks from that particular power or demon trailing their lives.

• A young man
A young man who was close to 40 years in Age, but HAD not married, says, whenever he desires to propose a sister, he will have a revelation or dream about the person, one negative thing or another would be shown to him about the person. Whereas, If the desire to propose the said lady or sister is not in him, he will not see anything about the person.
HE said Whenever he shares such revelation or dream with the sister concerned, they usually attested to it that what he has seen is true. Initially, he thought those revelations and dreams were from God.
BUT he later discovered that those revelations have hindered him or kept him from marrying.

Now, those dreams and Revelations could not have been from God. The plan of God for him is to have a home—marry and raise a family.
It was the devil who had been giving him those Revelations or dreams in order to hinder him from marrying—having what God had wanted him to have.
How that gift or power of having visions or seeing into the spiritual realm got into his life, he does not know. That may have gotten to his life when he was small. His mother may have visited an herbalist, or taking him to the festival of a local deity, an idolatrous festival, when he was small. The operation of that supernatural gift or power may have gotten to his Life through a number of means which he, himself, could not ascertain of.

• Another young woman also shared this:
She said If anyone offended her, and the thing which the person did, hurts her deeply and makes her angry; even if she does not talk or show her annoyance, a terrible thing will happen to that person. THE person may have a fatal accident, or may fall sick, or ONE hazardous thing or another might happen to the person.
WHEN I asked her further, how she came about the POWER, She said, she does not know.

Now, A demon or more are trailing her life. They work with her. She is a covenant child, she might have been covenanted to a god, a goddess of river, a local deity, or may have been dedicated to an idol or the ancestral gods of the parents.
I did ask about her mother, and how her childhood was like. She said her mother is late, and she had sickling childhood, she used to be very sick. Her mother used to give her different drugs, possibly herbal remedies, and as a result of it, her teeth were brownish. THAT her mother died when she was still small, even on the issues of her.
She claims to be born-again now, but she is still experiencing the manifestations of the strange power that used to defend or fight for her, whenever she was offended.
With such a strange power in her life, she may not experience or enjoy the full benefits of being a believer—a born-again child of God.
THAT same demon that has been protecting her, fighting for her, so to speak, would be resisting her growth and progress in the things of the Spirit—the Kingdom of God and the assignment.
GOD will not be able to use her maximally because the presence of that strange power or gift would limit the Move and the doings of God in her life.
SHE needed to renounce the power and be totally delivered from that shackles.

• I have seen some who also shared with me in the place of counseling that they see into the spiritual realms, they see visions, that the gifts which they do have, had been in their lives before they accepted Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour, and such gifts are still functioning or operating in their lives till now (Acts 16:16,17).

I have met one who has even gone ahead to start a church, and people are trooping there because of the strange spirit, the so-called prophetic gift.
She told me, when she went for counseling as the gift was still functioning in her life after being born-again, the person who counselled her said it was all right, she could go ahead and be using the gift, since she has given her life to Christ now. SHE WAS NEVER TOLD TO RENOUNCE THE GIFT.
Now, the person in question has founded a Church and pastoring the Church with that strange gift or power which she does not know the source, whether it was of God or not.
