I’ll be honest, time at the moment has no meaning at all, it’s either light or dark out, it’s either time to eat or sleep, work or play.
That’s ok. I can deal with that, in fact I’d go as far to say that I’m actually enjoying that too. If it’s not conversing and whistling at the squirrels that come to collect bits of food stuffs it’s connecting with new students and seeing what their needs are or where I dropped the ball.
I personally could get used to an isolated remote working full time life. I’d just need a few key people around me and I’d be set. It was not always that way but when you get older your priorities change and you prefer to do things that keep you mellow and chilled.
I don’t know about you but I see these times as building times. Maybe I’m just hardwired that way right now because of the past few years, I just see so much opportunity right now, while others are zigging I’m here for the zagging part.
I’m not focusing on the things I ‘can’t do’ but rather on the things that I have agency over today, in the next few hours — then after that we recalibrate and go again. It’s been a long time since I let apathy just take it’s command over life and just floated along anyway. It only cost me money in the short term anyway so I’ve played that game, learned those lessons!
Yesterday I was spending a bit of time on design for some graphics and banners for the course layouts. I’m doing them all in a big block but going to be releasing them once a week. I’m also doing some projects around the home to keep me busy and to get me motivated to be a bit more DIY ;)
I’m also taking a lot of time to relax and reflect in the sunshine, getting that vitamin d and enjoying breakfast and a hot beverage outside — getting some of that relatively clean air into my lungs.
Not been focusing that much on the ‘after’ — a lot of people are looking for the lockdown to lift and we can go back to a so called ‘normal’ but I just don’t think people understand the current mental health elements they might be going through while this is in effect. It’s unprecedented.
That being said, I think people are probably learning a lot about themselves in this time as well as they battle inner demons and maybe try desperately to build themselves a little castle they can hide out in. I find solace in educating myself and exercise, they really help.
Pumped also to see that @dayleeo put up her store for some bandana kinda face mask things for this blockchain, I’ve already got one heading my way so I’m looking forward to getting a photo for the blog post for that, maybe I’ll make an animated banner for the store, as a mark of respect!
Seeing lots of friends globally switching their businesses up — from live streaming online events, webinars, teaching and even as far as home delivery, I’ve never been so impressed at the human condition to get on with it and adapt with what they have.
Right, time for a cuppa, some pancakes and sunshine eh?
Oh, yeah and before I go, I’ve been playing a lot more with gumroad, I freaking love it and also I’m doing more tasks and gigs over on fiverr now as well as people want remote workers. I’ve got a video about gumroad and some of the neat new features they enabled for non-pro users that I think your gonna love.
Peace,
