in this snippet of conversation with rick, he details how becoming wealthy took away his want for anything. he had so much, he could buy anything he wanted, but the one thing he really wanted,.. was the fulfillment of his addiction to adrenaline, his entire life he chased the thrill of being killed or being chased, or outrunning whomever, he chased after danger, any combat tech will tell you, that's where they run to, danger, to quell the action.
the only way rick was able to get that adrenaline high was to run drugs and be on the skirt of the law, sometimes from "within the law"
during this interaction rick tells of how the consequences of actions came to be a part of his life, as he learned early on in another video, ity is interesting to note that no matter the outcome, he still got his buzz of adrenaline whether waiting to win or actually winning in the gambling processes, as well as with the smuggling aspect as well, as he has lost many a planeload of drugs only to escape with his life.
