Blue Cave & 5 Islands Tour From Hvar, Croatia

Croatian seem very English / Germanic to me but maybe more how we might have been in the past with a European edge which, is why I liked them a lot. We defo tend to vibe with certain cultures more than others and sometimes that’s not always our own I think. I love South Africans actually and I like Croatians from what I saw of them for the same reasons as they seem kind of blunt but still kind, polite, fun and a bit heart centred but not overly silly and still quite serious. They also seem to get Sara ask which, is important for me. It’s even been an issue with Americans actually they often do not have the dark sense of humour and sarcasm that Brits have, some do but it’s more rare. The humour is different. Everywhere was clean and ppl didn’t destroys and vandalise stuff which, I loved . They had these little music boxes on the wall and they were all intact and beautifully preserved if you put them up here in London they wouldn’t last five days before they were ripped off the wall; stolen and graffitied.

Americans can be hard for me as a European despite having two American boyfriends in my life there is a bit too much commercialism, lack of connection to nature, a bit too much patriotism ( America is the centre of the world stuff). Thetr are absolutely exceptions America is a huge place but I’m generalising. Europeans are different and Brits are a bit of a cross between Europe and America.

I get what you are saying. British humor can somewhat escape me but it depends how it is executed. Part of the reason I say this is because I personally wasn't into Monty Python or Dr. Who. Just wasn't my thing.

I get what you are saying with the Americans and like you said it is a very big place and there is a different vibe in various parts of the country,

The Patriotism would be really weird for you when you see people flying confederate flags like the American Civil war isn't over when it actually ended in the 1860s. I have never fully understood that one but it sort of became synonymous with being rebellious and a rogue entity and it somewhat became a symbol of being from the South.

I would say a lot of people also grew up watching movies that displayed us saving the world. Independence Day, Armageddon....etc Also we win the most medals in the Olympics.

But for all that patriotism if you dig on a deeper level there are a ton of issues and there is a deep distrust of our government. I believe that 9/11 was an inside job and the Iraq and Afghanistan wars were a complete money grab at the peril of our troops and also innocent casualties in those other countries.

I think our government is completely out of control and the money printing has broke the back of Americans. It's the natural lifecycle of an empire and a lot of us feel like we are close to the end. I don't think it will go away or anything but it will just go into a decline over the next 10 to 20 years. I feel like we are 10 years behind Japan. They have 9 Million empty houses because of the birthrate collapse. We are seeing that in the rural areas here in various states. The states are fighting over the remaining people who have any money and most of the cities are getting their backs blown out especially with the overload of illegal aliens.

I think on a more positive note as citizens of the world at this point we have a lot more information of how we can GeoMaxxxx and find a place where we can have a more enjoyable life.

I feel that people out West have a better connection with nature. There is so much more to do with all the mountains and epic national parks.

Yeah it’s the sort of we think we are the best stuff that is very irritating and off putting to Europeans. Europeans can feel it a bit about Brits as well I think. Just because some country isn’t as up to date or materialistic or commercial doesn’t mean it is lesser, sometimes they have a higher quality of life and more connection to the land etc it doesn’t help that a lot of Americans don’t travel or leave America so just believe anything on social or tv which, leads even more to the wr are the centre of the universe feeling.
I honestly think it’s good tor everyone to get out and travel!

I agree that 9/11 was a false flag I think a lot of them both in America and Uk. We are somwhere in the middle between Europe and America and I feel I can see the both sides. We have adapted quite a bit of American culture but still hahe elements of European. Perhaps the European and American gap would be wider.

Something I rly noticed is how grossed out American men are I’ve met with nudity for example or nude men. Like if I’ve ever sent a nude man for any reason just for some article or something they lose their absolute shit lol and say I’m disrespecting them or something meanwhile in Europe you got guys going into the sauna naked together, even in the Uk nudity is all over the tv. We had a game show called naked attraction here cheesy but existed. American can be very ahead but also very backwards in some ways. These are generalisations of course and will always be exceptions. I tend to often feel more aligned to Europe than my own country tbh as I like the more simplistic way of life, simple foods, small portions etc

It is funny and insightful the way you describe all this. Hahhahah
When I was in Thailand probably the first 3 sets of UK girls I talked to disrespected me so hard it was unreal. It became a joke where me and another American guy were saying these UK girls were even worse than American women which is pretty unbelievable but we were doing an impression of them saying. "I'm from Essex and let it be known that my 7th cousin married a man who is on the security detail for the royal family."

It was like they were all acting like they were some sort of royalty and you have probably picked up on this but guys in the United States think the whole royal family stuff is dumb and we just kind of roll our eyes.

The thing about Americans not traveling varies depending on where people are from to some respects even within the United States. My parents haven't traveled that much and they are extremely annoying because they actually think the mainstream media is real and then have these ideas about how it is in other countries and I was showing my mom properties that were really nice in Sweden that are under a $100K that were overlooking the water and she wouldn't admit that there was any value there. I know people in the Midwest that have never drove down to Florida which is really strange to me because that is sort of an easy target for people in the Midwest. You can do the drive in 1 hard day of driving and then spend a week down there but there are people that haven't left their home state.

I get what you are saying about men tripping out over male nudity in a regular movie or something yet dude are oftentimes seeing a ton of porn and seeing other guys dicks and seeing naked guys in that but I think maybe they are able to project themselves into that situation but if there is just a naked guy walking around it becomes very confusing. When I lived in Arizona there was this hike back to a waterfall East of Tucson and it was a known nudist spot and that was very awkward to see people hiding behind rocks. I also had a similar experience in Key West Florida a long time ago. On the roof of a bar there was a nudist hangout and it was mainly out of shape older people with their clothes off. It was strange and we were just like WTF and left that place.

There is a survival show here called Naked and Afraid but they blur out all the private parts.

A lot of things have changed overtime and half the stuff doesn't make any sense to me. Like some states are getting looser with certain things like legalization of weed but then my home state just blocked PornHub to where you would have to submit an ID to prove your age. Kids in High school are getting tattoos now even in rural areas. That has become more common.

This timeline is strange in a lot of respects and the small high school I went to now has 80% of the students growing up in single parent households and that is very shocking yet not surprising to me. You can't imagine the amount of single moms in the United States. Honestly a lot of these countries are like that at this point.

Yes Essex and some areas up north are a bit of a law to themselves

It is interesting how various areas of the UK have their own vibe which is the same in the United States but things are really spread out here. Someone can be frozen in a Northern City or be living in the Dirty South or hitting the Beach in Miami all winter.

A bunch of likeminded ppl should rly go start an island tho to be fair!

I agree. I have talked to several people about a similar type premise where we would actually take over a small town essentially. I started noticing that in various places in the United States especially the MidWest. People would take over the town to some capacity and then they were able to have a little more of the inside track on various properties and also be able to get grants from the government to do certain improvements and they would hold positions in the town where they were able to pay themselves decent salaries.

Also and extended part of my family essentially own land that is up against government reservoir land and they keep taking down more properties around those areas. It's a good premise but it is being harder for them to do that because the families aren't that big. It would be different if everyone was having 5 or 6 kids.

yeah good luck to those ppl wanting 6 kids 😂
