As a big fan of video games, my video game journey up till this day has been super amazing and great. I have played a whole lot of games and I must say, from my first video gaming experience till this day has been great. My video gaming journey began way back in the days as a child. The first game I played was contra on an 8bit console… that experience was unforgettable, and from that moment, I knew I was going all in for it. I knew it was something that would be a big part of me. Video gaming is fun and anyone who is a fan of video games would say the same thing and I don’t think anyone can say otherwise even if they haven’t played a video game before.
Super Sonic, a game that needs no introduction as far as video gaming is concerned. Whenever iconic games are mentioned, super sonic is definitely in the list. When it comes to video games that holds a big part of my video gaming journey, there are quite a number of them. However, super sonic is up there in my list, if not my favorite. Super Sonic was one of the first video games I owned back in the days on my 16bit sega mega drive2 console. That was the first video game console I ever owned. I played a couple of games on 8bit console like contra that I mentioned above, but it wasn’t mine so the passion for video gaming wasn’t there until the 16bit era and I was fortunate and privileged enough to be one of the children that owned the 16bit console back then in high school.
Remembering those amazing days brings back a big smile on my face. Super Sonic was one of the best things that happened to the video gaming community back then… I think only Super Mario was probably higher or in the same bracket in terms of popularity and iconic. Super Sonic was not only my favorite game back then, it was the favorite of millions of gamers back then as well. There are so many things that make Super Sonic such an awesome game… the cuteness of the character, the gameplay and the story… this three things combine to make Super Sonic one of the most successful video game of the 16bit era. For me, Super Sonic will always remain one of the best games to ever grace the 16bit console.
