Better Life with Steem | The diary game 17th may - 6th day of being Covid positive

Nirmalya here. Hope all of you are doing good in this pandemic!

We, Indians going through a tough time. Covid-19 positive cases are increasing day by day and creating new records. It's been a very difficult year for everyone be it financially or mentally. It feels like a never-ending nightmare. It's been a very frustrating and uncertain week for me too. In my state, the state government has imposed a lockdown to break the infection chain and control the spike of cases.

It's been 6 days since I have been tested Covid positive for the second time in two years. At the very beginning of the 2nd week of May 2021, I started to have symptoms like sore throat, body ache, and mild breathing problems. I instantly self quarantined myself and called a nearby testing center. They were very efficient and sent a nurse within 2 hours to collect my sample. After 4 hours my result came and I was positive. Here I want to add something don't get panicked if any of you are tested positive. With proper guidance from your doctor, you can win against Covid.

I am writing this blog post to let you know how I am spending my day in quarantine. My usual morning begins at 8 AM with ginger tea, two eggs, and 3 Multivitamins/antibiotics tablets. As we all know ginger has immunity-boosting properties. Eggs for instant protein requirements as our body has little stamina whatsoever. Multivitamins/antibiotics for keeping me alive 😄.

At 11 AM I eat two slices of bread and 1 cup of health drink.

As the clock gets past 1'o clock, I have my lunch. My lunch usually consists of Simple carbs like white rice, protein such as fish or lentils. After that, I take a power nap for at least one and half hours as my doctor says good rest and right food and hydration are necessary during this time. One should keep themselves hydrated with 3 liters of water.

This is where I have quarantined myslef.

After taking a power nap I take herbal tea while surfing the internet.

For dinner, I repeat the same course from my lunch.

Every 6 hours I check my O2 saturation level.

For my mental health, I have been doing some meditation in the morning and socializing with my friends over various social media platforms. I have recently discovered Steem and it's been a blessing in disguise. Wonderful community.

While I am writing this blog I took these three tablets prescribed by my doctor.
