In 1908 this guy was very much into equalizing the playing field for Americans. His Name was Eugene V. Debs and many of his quotes from then, over 100 years ago, are actually becoming reality TODAY. I hear, often "My vote doesn't count, so why vote", well, like the Mountain, because you can. No, that really is ridiculous because who really wants a "Mountain"? So, how about this:
"I'd rather vote for something I want and not get it than vote for something I don't want, and get it." ~ Eugene V. Debs
If there is something that you see on the Ballot, add your voice to get it MADE REAL. If you were to get 2 friends to vote for it, and they each got 2 friends, ummm, well you see how this goes? eventually there will be enough voting FOR an item than there will be against it, especially if everyone who said "Why" actually did vote.
So, "WHY" should you vote? There are many reasons WHY you should vote, but to me the most important reasons are out of respect of the men and women who died so that I could have that "RIGHT" to vote. To me, it has become a "Responsibility" to VOTE, so Why NOT?
