English Proficiency on Steem Skillshare

Learning and becoming proficient in English is an ability that can be very important in our present society. For many social media sites, and jobs, English is the primary means of communication. This is increasingly so as telecommuting is becoming a fixture in today's workplace. At times, our office will have conversations with people working from Australia, India, and the United States at the same time.

What Do I Offer?

I am a Canadian English Speaker. Canadian English differs from both British and American English as we tend to borrow from both cultures. We also include words that are taken from the French and other people who have immigrated to Canada. I am university educated and have travelled to a few other countries so I hope that I can offer a more than average cosmopolitan perspective.

What Should You Offer?

I apologize that my skills in other languages are extremely limited. So hopefully you will have a minimum understanding of English. If not, we can put a little more effort into it and come up with a solution that will give you the basics.

Goals

The main goal is to get better. If a person has a minimum level of English Proficiency, they would rise to a basic level. Those with a basic level of proficiency would rise to a comfortable level etc.

Method

As is frequently the case, the ability to use certain words and be able to hear them in the context of a conversation leads to true understanding. Upon negotiating the words you would like to use, I can prepare text that can be used as a reference. Then we can meet on skype (preferred as it has the better sound quality) or discord.
