EKWANG
The food call Ekwang is an African traditional dish mostly prepared and eaten by the people of the South West Region of Cameroon. It is prepared with grined covoyams raped with coyoyams leaves and local plam oil.
The cocoyams are selected and clean and pilled using knifes.
After cleaning the cocoyams,cocoyams leaves are selected that with will be used in wraping the cocoyam when it is grinded.
The cleaned cocoyams is the grined either in a grinding mill or using a locally made grinder. After which its being prepared for wrapping.
Once its ready for wrapping the cocoyam leaves are washed and divided into small peices and the small eating spoon is used to wrap the grind cocoyam to the leave.
As the wrapping process is going on other spices are being added to it with also dry fish,meat and any other ingredient that is needed to be added.
As the wrapping process is completed it is now put on the fire and cook for for about one and half hour which is believed to have been ready and suitable for eating. the food is now served for anyone to enjoy.
The reason why i have choosed this particular meal is because not only is eaten by the people of the South West region of Cameroon, it loved and highly demanded be people of all over the 10regions of Cameroon and also found and Africa as a whole.
Ekwang is one of the Africa traditional meals found in african restaurants in countries out of Africa and which means people all over the world love and enjoy eating this wonderful African traditional meal.
