A blessed day to everyone especially to the @steemskillshare community. Hope that everyone is fine especially to all steemians in our country Philippines who are hurt by the strong typhoon Odette. Hope that we can easily recover and go on with our lives before the disaster hits our land. Today I want to share my homework that was given by sir @abu78. Even it is very hard for us to find an internet connection in our area but I need to pass my assignment even it was late.

Briefly explain what you understand by Interjections and give ten examples in sentences.

For me, Interjections are words or phrases that we are being used to show our feelings in expressing our emotions and reaction when we come up with a feeling with unexpected happiness, excitement, surprise, or even we are angry with some people. It is a feeling or expression that we can directly speak to convey our emotions. These emotional words are followed by punctuation marks, which are most often used but not always exclamation points. Here are some great words that can help us to express our emotions. It includes: ahh, wow, Ooh, Okay, Damn it, Huh, Whoa, Rats, alas, alrighty, blah, dang, gee, Nah, oops, phew, shucks, whoops, uh-oh, uh, oh boy, and ouch, yuck, ugh.

Ten examples of interjection in a sentence.

  • I tried to bake my cake and yuck it was not good.
  • I dropped my phone again, ugh.
  • Wow? That's good!
  • Ooh, that's a nice dress.
  • Okay! I'll give you time to finish your homework.
  • Damn it! You refuse to stay.
  • Huh? What happened to my house.
  • Whoa, the city looks ghost town.
  • Ahh, that feels great.
  • Rats, I lost my money.

Thank you so much for giving this lesson. I tried to submit my assignment despite my experience during the typhoon Odette that hits our place. Please pray and God bless us all. Thank you.

Truly Yours,

@liamnov
