A pleasant and warmest hello to all steemians around the globe. Since we have a low internet connection I was not able to write a post or even comment on some others works but I try my best to work on it.
As a student in English class, I have to share my knowledge and understanding about the topic given by sir @abu78. It's my pleasure to be a part of his class that gives me more learning that I can use in my future blog. Today's topic is all about tenses. And he gives us homework to be answered by his students.

Briefly explain what you understand by Tenses and give five examples.

I remember during my schools days that I hardly understand this topic. But now I try to explain this topic. For me, tenses is a grammar term that we can use to indicate whether an action verb that is used in a sentence is an action in the past, present, or future. These different tenses can be identified by the associated verb form. Here is my example,

  • I write a lot of papers for my classes.
  • Leah wakes up early in the morning daily.
  • I speak Mandarin quite well.
  • He serves the dinner at half-past eight and puts the children to sleep at half-past nine.
  • She works in this hotel as a floor manager.

Explain Present tense, Past Tense, and Future Tense in your own words, and also give four examples for each one of them.

Present tense

It is a form of the verb that we will use when we talk about what is happening right now. It will describe things that are we currently performing in the present time.

Here are the four examples of Present Tense

  • The wind blows all the time.
  • My friend *** buys *** a new car every summer.
  • Leah comes to class early every morning.
  • I do my laundry every weekend.

Past Tense

It is a tense that expresses an action that is previously happened. It is also a verb tense that is determined by when the past took place or happened.

Here are the four examples of Past tense.

  • The strong wind blew yesterday morning.
  • My friend bought a new car last summer.
  • Leah came to class early yesterday morning.
  • I did my laundry last weekend.

Future Tense

It is a tense which is expressing an action that has not yet happened and does not exist yet. It is also a verb tense that was used for the future activity.

Here is the four examples of Future Tense

  • The wind has blown for a few minutes.
  • My friend have just bought a new car.
  • Leah has come to class early since June.
  • I have done my laundry every weekend since I moved to Busay.

Thank you so much for giving this lesson. I ask forgiveness to sir @abu78 that I was not able to pass my assignment because of having a low internet connection. But now, I tried to submit my assignment. Hope you learn from my assignment.
