Hello friends of steemskillshare, I'm glad to be here once again and participating in the English lesson provided by @abu78. Below I'm going to answer the following questions as was given in the lesson:

Explain briefly what you understand by Tenses and provide five examples.

Tenses are verbs that relates the time of an occurrence or action.
The major tenses in English are the the past, present and future tenses and each of them has something to say about when an action took place whether in the past, present or future.

Examples of tenses
  • She goes to the market everyday
  • John plays football every Sunday
  • She went to Canada last week
  • The boy lived in Lagos for three years
  • She goes back home at the end every semester

Explain Present tense, Past Tense, and Future Tense In your own words, and also give four examples for each one of them

Present tense

This type of tense describe an action that is currently taking place or a state that exists currently.
Examples of present tense

  • Jill makes the bed
  • She is washing the dishes
  • Jane is singing a lullaby
  • Steemit is growing day by day

Past tense

Past tense is the opposite of the present tense. It describes an action that has already taken place or a state that existed before.
Examples of past tense

  • Jill made the bed
  • She washed the dishes
  • Jane sang a lullaby
  • Steemit grew since 2017

Future tense

This type of tense describes or expresses an action that has not yet taken place or a state that does not yet exist

Examples of future tenses

  • Jill will make the bed
  • She will wash the dishes
  • Jane will sing a lullaby
  • Steemit will grow higher than it has

This is all for my assignment today. I thank all for going through and for always supporting me 🤗🤗🥰
