Cooking is an art and a self expression. I believe that the best chef is the person who can take maximum taste and healthy components from the ingredients. The art to cook something that looks beautiful healthy and delicious is all concentrated in the dish that I want to share with you.
I am not a chef but I love cooking. I published a lot of recipes in our lovely Steem Foods. And today I want to share some techniques and tips that I think can make your cooking experience richer.
Use Steaming Pots
You can practically steam anything that you can boil except mushrooms. When you boil all healthy and useful vitamins and minerals stay in the soup or souce. When you fry all the good things simply disappear but when you steam you keep all good staff inside each ingredient. Some people don't like blant taste of steamed food. That's why I recommend to start with Chinese cuisine. As they are masters of steaming. I think steamed buns are healthy delicious and rich in flavour.
Lets steam Steem Buns
Buns are small bread pieces with some filling. So the dough is really important. It must not be too much fluffy and not too much rubber like a sole of the boot. The proportion of water, east and flour is really important.
The dough must be not over floured and not too liquid so normally I use 600 ml of water and 1 kg of flour. The flour must not be for deserts. You must use flour that is good for bread with high proteins.
The secret ingredient is a flavour of filling. Filling must be really well seasoned and juicy. You must use vegetables such as cabbage, radish or something similar. You can mix vegetables with meat, fish, or tofu.
Wrapping
Wrapping is really important as if you don't press enough, the risk is that the dough will unwrap and the filling will be out on the tray.
It is important to put enough feeling but not to overput as well. If you overput then you won't be able to wrap but if you put too little then the taste will be just bread.
