Hello friends
Hope everybody is well. I am also much better by the grace of God. Today I will discuss with you about orbit and orbital. In fact, I like to think about chemistry and biology, so I'm going to share with you some of these two things. I hope you like my posts. So friends let's get started.
Orbit
The nucleus of an atom has a fixed orbital or energy layer of a certain energy for the rotation of electrons around it. These are called main energy level shells. This major energy level is known as orbit.
According to groom atomism, energy levels are three-dimensional spheres. Round shape like a football to see a lot. The closest energy level to the nucleus is the first energy level or the first orbit K-shell in which case n = 1. It is the smallest. In the case of the second energy level or the second orbit or L cell n = 2. Larger in size than the first orbit to the second orbit. By the same token, the third, fourth, and fifth orbits gradually become larger in size. Thus the larger the size of the orbit the farther away from the nucleus it is.
Orbital
According to quantum mechanics, electrons can be near the nucleus and away from the nucleus. The probability of the position of an electron cloud with a certain energy in the area around the nucleus was 90-95. The area of the electron cloud is called orbital.
Orbital is actually the wave function by which the position of electrons in an atom can be described. The term orbital refers to the various sub-levels in an atom.
Or, the specific three-dimensional space around the nucleus that is most likely to be the location of an electron of a certain energy. In fact, taking photographs of the different momentary positions of the electrons orbiting around the nucleus makes it look like this. The girl has the highest concentration of the ball, that is, the highest possible area of electron rotation around the nucleus is called the orbital.
So friends, thank you all. Everyone will be fine, healthy and take care of themselves.
