The Best Free Cloud Storage And Features
Save everything from photos and videos to Word documents and spreadsheets
You may have heard of the cloud, but they have not yet jumped on the boat. With so many different options, it's hard to figure out which is the best free cloud storage site out there.
Update: What is cloud computing, anyway?
Since everyone has their own advantages, many want to try more than one to see how you like it. Many people use multiple storage providers for different purposes anyway - including me. In fact, I use 4 of the 5 on this list!
Whether you have important documents, photos, music, or other files that need to be shared on more than one device, this is often the easiest way to do this using a cloud storage option. See the list below for an overview of each popular cloud service and its key features.
You can't really go wrong with Google Drive. In terms of storage space and file size, it is the most generous to its free users. Not only can you create as many folders as you want for all uploads, but you can also create, edit, and share specific types of documents directly in Google Drive.
Create a Google Doc, Google Sheet, or Google Slideshow directly from your account, and you can access it from anywhere when you sign in to Google Drive. Other Google users you share will be able to edit or comment if you give them permission to do so.

Dropbox
Due to its simplicity and intuitive design, Dropbox competes with Google as another hugely popular cloud storage service that is now embraced by internet users. Dropbox lets you create folders to organize all your files, share them with the public through a unique link to copy, and invite your Facebook friends to share Dropbox files . When you prefer a file (by pressing the star button) when viewing it on a mobile device, you will be able to view it again later even if you do not have an internet connection.
Even with a free account, you can extend your 2 GB of free storage up to 16 GB of free storage by assigning new people to join Dropbox (500 MB per referral). You can also get 3 GB of free storage just to try out Dropbox's new photo service, Carousel.
Free storage: 2 GB (With search options to save more space.)
Price for 1 TB: 11.99 € per month
Price for unlimited storage (business): $ 17 per month for each user
Maximum allowed file size: 10 GB if downloaded via Dropbox.com to your web browser, unlimited if downloaded via desktop or mobile app. Of course, keep in mind that if you are a free user with only 2 GB of storage, then you can only upload one file as large as the storage quota can take.

Apple iCloud
If you have Apple devices running a recent iOS version , you may have already been asked to set up your iCloud account . Just as Google Drive integrates with Google Gadgets, Apple iCloud is also deeply integrated with iOS features and functions. ICloud offers a range of incredibly powerful and useful features that can be accessed and synced across all of your Apple cameras (and iCloud on the web), including your photo library, your contacts, your calendar, your document files, your bookmarks you and much more.
Up to six family members can even share their iTunes Store, App Store and iBooks Store purchases using their own iCloud accounts. You can see the full list of Apple iCloud products here.
You can also select iTunes Match , which lets you save any non-iTunes music to iCloud, such as the music on a ripped CD. ITunes Match costs an extra $ 24.99 a year.

Microsoft OneDrive (formerly SkyDrive)
Just like iCloud is at Apple, OneDrive is at Microsoft. If you are using a Windows computer, a Windows tablet or a Windows Phone, then OneDrive will be the ideal cloud storage alternative. Anyone with the latest version of Windows (8 and 8.1) will come with one that is properly built.
OneDrive Free Storage is there with Google Drive. OneDrive gives you access to remote files and lets you create MS Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets , and OneNote laptops directly in the cloud. If you frequently use Microsoft Office programs, then this is a no-brainer.
You can also share public files, enable group app editing, and enjoy auto-upload photos to your OneDrive every time you connect a new one to your phone. For those who upgrade to Office 365, you can collaborate in real-time on the documents you share with other people, with the ability to view their changes directly as they occur.

Box
Last but not least, there is a box. Although quite intuitive to use, Box is a little more embraced by business companies than people who want personal cloud storage options . While more file storage may cost more than other services, Box really stands out for its content management feature, web workspaces, task management , incredible file privacy controls, built-in editing and many other.
If you work closely with a team and need a stable cloud storage provider where everyone can work together, Box is hard to beat. Other popular business-focused applications, such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and even Microsoft Office, can be integrated so that you can save and edit documents in the framework.
