The Motherboard

There are more components of the motherboard but i can't write about every one of them so i summerised the basis ones. So you have at least an idea on motherboard

Motherboard

A motherboard is a large board that houses the processor and other important component on the computer. The motherboard is a printer circuit board that ties the computer major components together at one spot and allows them to interact.

RAM:

are storage device that stores data and information temporarily. Data stored here get deleted or lost, if the computer system accidentally switch off either by you or another person. Without the RAM the system won't boot successfully because copy of the Operating System are copied on the RAM before the system successfully boot.

Central Processing Unit (CPU) :

It is located on the CPU socket which allows the CPU interact with the mother bored. The CPU is the brain of the computer, it perform almost all the tasks done on a computer.

Heat sink :

heat are absorbed by the heat sink to prevent over heating on the CPU and the motherboard

North bridge:

it's controller that connects the CPU to memory using a front side bus (FSB). It connect directly to the CPU unlike the South bridge.

South bridge chip:

South bridge is located at the Southern part of
the motherboard. The southbridge is an integrated circuit sit on the southern part of the motherboard, that is in charge of the hard drive controller, I/O controller,PCI, USB and integrated hardwares operations.

RAM slots :

This houses the RAM. It is a path where the RAM interact with the motherboard, it is also used to increase the RAM of a system .

Basic Input/Output System (BIOS):

It's performs test on the hardware of devices of a computer before it loads the operating system, Which is known as Power-on self-test (POST). It also interact with the Process directly and also interact with the computer hardware (it act as a middleman between the CPU and the processor).

Complimentary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS ):

The CMOS battery is a battery that powers your laptop's BIOS firmware that save basic configuration of the computer system like the time and date of your system. Do you know if the CMOS battery is removed from the motherboard for a long period of time the system password will reset?. If your laptop has difficulty booting up, or if your system date and time are incorrect then it might be due to bad a CMOS battery

Transistor:

Its a device that is used to regulate the amount of current and voltage in the motherboard. It is used to amplifier and modulate electrical signals in the motherboard.

Capacitor:

capacitor is an electronic device that stores electrical current in an electric field, it is a device used to decouple, stabilize power in each Integrated circuit and timing the circuit in the motherboard. A capacitor is used for stabilizing power in each Integrated circuit used in the system.
