After my previous post about homeschooling,

Here I am with a new post that would like to cover this topic, but instead of just presenting the subject, as in the majority of the post I would like to use this channel, to share some skills, following the name @steemskillshare.

More, and more people are now choosing to homeschool instead of sending their children to public or private schools, the pandemia is for sure a motivation in this sense!

In few words, homeschooling is the idea for parents to educate their children at home instead of sending them to a traditional public or private school.

The main reasons, before these hard times to take such a decision, were mainly linked with a dissatisfaction with the educational options available, different religious or educational philosophies, and the belief that children are not progressing within the traditional school structure, to this of course, and nowadays, we have to add the idea to keep the children free from social distance, surgical masks, and no contacts.

Each country has its own rules about homeschooling, so I would like to concentrate more about how to start in general for parents.

Have a high degree in education for parents is not a must, sure can help, but as I said is not something that the parents need to have.
It is important to have a plan, and a schedule to organize each day of the week and keep a steady development in the knowledge of your children.

For me, it is important to follow a curriculum for the children, and around it, try to follow the passion that he or she will show alongside the path, so for example, if a child gets excited about a science experiment before bed, I think that follow the child's enthusiasm to see where it leads; this becomes part of the school day as well, but of course we need to feed this possible enthusiasm by follow a curriculum that we choose at the beginning of the studying period.

The main thing is, in order to be "official" and follow the rules, is to check with your own countries about the homeschooling possibilities, and curriculum to follow, and possible final year exam, but giving the time and the freedom that during these are times, I think our children deserves.

I would like to say that these are just my opinion based on my ideas, and my personal experiences, and they do not want to be a vade mecum for homeschooling in general.
