INTRODUCTION

Greetings to you my lovely people, I’m sure you are all doing great in your various locations. It is nice to participate in this contest. Of course, most of us have learned many skills this year and I am a good example of that. But before I talked about the skill I have learned so far and the one I want to learn next year, please permit me to thank @nadiaturrina for creating this contest and I am also indebted to @steem.skillshare for giving all of us a good medium to share our opinion on this contest request. Having acknowledged these great bodies, I want to proceed.

SKILLS I HAVE ACQUIRED IN 2021

Skill 1

First of all, let me start with a few details of myself. I read Electrical/Electronics Engineering in higher institution, unfortunately, I have been sending many applications to different companies seeking employment, but sometimes no reply or I have a problem in years of experience. But when I was introduced to the steemit platform by my sister @eliany, I discovered that I needed to learn a new skill entirely in other to succeed on this platform. Which skill was that? You may wonder. Well, it is Writing Skill.

Before now, I wasn’t good when it comes to writing content, most times, I use to imagine how writers do make it in life. But when I joined steemit, I began to learn the techniques to use in others to succeed on this platform. To be honest, I have learned a lot when it comes to writing skills, starting from Formatting, the essence of being original in content writing, and how to make references to borrowed content. Trust me, I didn’t have an idea of this before now, but I have learned this skill this year and I am already making money from it. Writing Skills is one good skill I have learned this year.

Skill 2

Another skill I have learned this year is online tutor skills. Yes I can teach, but I haven't done it before online, but this year, I learn it, I made progress and I am using it now too to earn a living. I learned the Basic Russian language and I used that to teach Russian kids online using video conferencing. The techniques of how to make a shot video, adjust the videos in other to use it to teach was a great one to learn.

Skill 3

I have been in the graphics design field for a long time and before now couldn’t say I am a graphic designer because I didn’t learn all it takes to be one. I didn’t know all the techniques to succeed in the field of graphics design. and as a result of that, I couldn’t make money from it. So I went for more training this year and guess what guys? I made it. I can say I am a graphic designer now. This is one of the blessings I have had this year.

SKILLS I WILL LEARN IN 2022

I know from now till 2022 is not far anymore, it is just 9 days remaining. But It will interest you to know that I have already planned for the skills I want to learn next year. They are as follows:

• Web designing. I learned to program back then when I was in a higher institution. But I want to go into web designing.

• I also want to learn Cryptos as it has become the future of the world now. I know that those two skills will consume a lot of my time, but trust me, it is worth it and I have already drawn my plans on how to actualize these goals. I will need to strike a balance so that I can also have time for my blogging activities on the steemit platform.

CONCLUSION

There is no limitation to learning skills, even if you want to learn 10, 20, or 100 skills. Also learning skills is very important because it can be the only option to sustain when you don’t have a white-collar job. Despite the fact that this year started with the pandemic, I was able to achieve this, if I can do this, then you can as well, today is not too late to learn a skill.
