In my life I have had several trades to which I have dedicated myself, in general the Venezuelan culture drives you to have several trades in order to survive, it is almost mandatory to know several things, so in my life I have been a nanny, graphic designer, pastry chef and manual worker, each role I fulfilled for a certain time and although I liked them and I exercise them very well, the profession that I studied and the one I currently dedicate myself is the one I will tell you about next.

What specifically do you do, and since when?

I am a Rural Education Teacher, my area is Education for Work, so my goal is to teach my students the necessary tools for learning a specific trade, encouraging them to demonstrate the necessary skills to get a good job in the future or learn what they need to develop their own business.

However since 2016, I am working in integral education, which is the teaching of primary school children and I have been in charge of the slightly older grades 4th and 5th grade.

Do you like or are you passionate about what you do?

I have a principle in my life and that is to do what I like, if I don't like it I can't do it well, so that's why I'm in education, because I'm passionate about it, it's exciting to be with a group of students, talk to them, help them, guide them, what has interested me most is to teach them to be good citizens, good children, if I achieve that in a student I have 90% of success assured in my purpose. I entered this career because I believed I could change the world, now I know I can't achieve it, but if I teach others to be better people I will be able to change the world of those people.

I love being in my classroom every day, I don't see it as a job but as a way to be happy through my students, I don't deny it, I have had moments when I have to breathe and vote a thousand times because of some bad action of my students but in the end I have learned to guide them and if I can't change them, at least I try.

Have you always wanted to do this activity?

There are many activities that I like to do but being a teacher I can teach what I like to my students, I think I will always teach, although I don't think I will be all my life in a classroom but I will be all my life teaching if God gives me the opportunity.

If you had to change your job, what would you choose?

I think I would choose to be a seamstress but I could also teach there, so being a teacher is something universal for me and in whatever activity I do I can do my job.

How does the work you do help?

Being a teacher is a way of doing something good for people, it is teaching students the necessary tools to have a better life, I have three well-defined objectives and teach them the programmed contents, to learn to do things and to be dignified beings, to give value to people for being human beings, to take care of nature and all that it implies and to value their life and live it in such a way that when they finish their career on earth they will have achieved all their dreams.
