I was recently reading "The Best of Us" by Karen Traviss (can be found here https://www.amazon.com/Best-Us-Galaxys-Edge-NOMAD-ebook/dp/B07ZG6TVZ5) and stumbled upon this chapter opener:
I thought it was quite thought-provoking. It makes you wonder if there is a balance to how much we should look back and reflect on, and how much we should be living in the present and planning for the future. Of course, there is the thought that whoever forgets history continues to make the same mistakes, but living in the past isn't productive either. I think this passage sums it up pretty well.
If anyone is interested in reading the "Galaxy's Edge" series I would HIGHLY recommend it. They are great sci-fi books, and their authors Jason Anspach and Nick Cole put a lot of hard work into them.
