Draw a semicircle with a radius of at least 60 yards to 75 yards from the middle to the bottom on both sides of the stump. Later, if the heads of the two spots are connected by a straight line, it will become a boundary line. This is called oval size field. Again the boundary line is drawn with a radius of 70/80 yards from the middle of the pitch. This is called round size field.

Players

The team is made up of 14 players when playing on our home soil and 15 players when playing on foreign soil. One of them participates in the game and the remaining 3 or 4 players remain as extras. Extra players can only field but not wicket-keeping in batting-bowling.

Ball

The ball will be round The circumference of the ball will be 8 to 9 inches. The ball must be approved by the umpire and the captain of both teams before the game starts.

Bat

The length of the bat should not exceed 38 inches and the width should be four and a half inches. If a bigger bat is taken then the batsman may get in trouble.

The position of the players on the field

Over

Usually 1 over is caught in 6 balls and if it is a pure ball then one over is caught.

Boundary

When the ball touches the ground after hitting the bat, it is called a boundary when it crosses the boundary line. Boundary adds 4 runs to the batsman's name.

Over Boundary

When the ball hits the bat and crosses the boundary line through the air, it is called over boundary. An over boundary adds 6 runs to the batsman's name. Even if the ball falls above the boundary line, it will be considered as over boundary.

By and leg by

The ball passes without touching any part of the batsman's bat or body. And if a run is collected, the umpire bye and if the ball passes by touching any part of the body or clothing other than Batman's bat and a run is collected, the leg bye signal is given.

No Ball

If a boller does not ball according to the rules, then no ball. No ball is caught for the following reasons-----

  • When Baller breaks the elbow.
  • If the delivery crosses the streak popping crease.
  • If the bowler does any damage to the wicket while bowling.
  • If the ball falls on half of the pitch.
  • If the ball goes straight over the batsman's shoulder.
  • If the fielder does not field according to the rules.

White ball

If the ball goes beyond the reach of the batsman, it becomes a white ball. But there is a big difference between a Test ball and a one-day white ball.

Run out

If the fielder throws the bell with the ball before the batsman reaches the crease while taking the run, the batsman will fall under the run out.

L B W

If the umpire thinks that any ball other than the ball outside the leg stump gets to the batsman or hits the stumps directly if the body does not resist, he will dismiss the batsman as lbw.

Bold out

If the bowler's ball hits the ball directly or the bat hits the stumps, the batsman will be out. This is called bold out.

Cut out

If the fielder catches the ball while the batsman is listening to the ball after hitting the ball, then that batsman will be out. This is called cut out.

Stamped out

If the batsman leaves the crease to play the ball without a no ball, then if the wicketkeeper catches the ball and throws the bell or breaks the wicket, then the batsman is stumped out.

Timed out

Once a batsman is out, it takes more than three minutes for the new batsman to pick up the card, then that batsman will fall under the time out.

Hit wicket

The batsman will be out if the bell falls off or the wicket breaks while the batsman is playing ball.

Hit the Ball Twice

If a batsman hits or plays a second ball to defend his wicket after the ball hits the batsman's bat or body, the application will be subject to this out.

Deliberately holding the ball by hand

If the batsman intentionally grabs the ball by hand or plays or obstructs, that batsman will be out.

Preventing fielders from catching the ball

If the batsman intentionally obstructs the fielders to catch the ball, that batsman will be out.

Century and half century

A batsman who scores 100 runs means a century and 50 runs a half-century.

Maiden over

If a bowler does not score a run in an over, it is called maidenover. If he gets any wicket in the over, he is called Maiden wicket.
